13 weeks and cant feel uterus?

Ok so im popping over from 1st trimester because I have a few questions. I am 13 weeks tomorrow and I still cant feel what everyone keeps saying is the top of the uterus above my pubic bone?I cant find it...should I be worried?Also last night while sleeping I woke up twice to some really sharp shooting pains down there and I dont know if I should be concerned or not.I had a dream that I went to the bathroom and saw blood and that scared me Of course it was only a dream but the sharp pains have me worried now...is this normal or should I be concerned?Thanks

hi it's not just you! i also can't feel my uterus and i'm almost 15 weeks i'm a little concerned but dr didn't seem concerned last week when she used the doppler to listen to the hb. as for the sharp pains, i've had them too but not too worried, i figure with everything shifting and stretching there will be some pain. sorry i couldn't be of much help...

I wouldn't worry about it!! Your uterus is still small so could be hiding still, it will be there don't worry. We all carry slightly differently and it may take a bit longer for yours to fully pop to where you can feel it.

To be honest I don't worry about checking for things like that, I think I'd only start worrying myself for no reason!!

Thanks for answering me Its always reassuring to know others are experiencing the same thing.Like you said Im trying to chalk the pains up to moving and stretching but it just scared me since the pains woke me up!Im glad your doctor didnt act concerned about your uterus because thats what I have been really freaking out about,everyone keeps saying they feel it at 12 weeks and I just havent been able to!

I have no idea what I would even be feeling for to be honest. I don't poke at myself like that, I let the doctors do that. But like the others said, don't worry, every one is different! x

I'm sixteen weeks on friday and I can't feel anything still and it took the mw a good five mins to find babysitter heart beat today. I wouldn't worry.

i didnt know i was meant to be able to feel it lol duno wat it feels like either lol have hosp next week so gues find out then if everythings ok lol x

Well I have just read that most people can feel it at 12 weeks so thats why I got concerned.But from what everyone on here has kind of said its not uncommon to not feel it!That makes me feel so much better,my baby's heart beat is really hard to find as well so that may be why!
