Hi Everyone,

this is m first pregnancy after 2 years LTTTC so Im scared of everything! I also have implantation spotting so had my share of scares already!

What I wanted to know is if anyone else "feels" their uterus from time to time. I wouldn't say Im experiencing pain - more like a dull, unsomfortable, bloated, pulling sensation. Some days I don't feel it at all - others it's there pretty much all the time.

I really only notice it if I think about it - but, you guessed it, I think about it all the time :dohh::haha:

I know things are stretching in there - but every other day?!

So if anyone has experienced this and can share Id be most greatful :flower:

I had similar stretching/pulling feelings around 14-16 weeks, it's just where everything is growing :)

I found mine got worst if I moved/stood up quickly, I'd often have to stop and catch my breath.

you'll find the further you get on the more aches and pains you'll get and you'll worry over each one of them :)

I'm 15 weeks hun and just sat here contemplating the exact same thing!! Its an odd sensation and for me a little more on the left than the right. Wonder if that is where sprout is sat :)

Hi. I have been having this sensation also. It is everything stretching for baby, Dr assures me it's normal. He also said I might get belly pain now that my digestive system is slowing down and resting on my left side instead of my right side may ease some discomfort.

Yeah I've had that on and off in the last couple of weeks. I think it's the uterus stretching but it's also starting to take up space inside you so I guess everything starts to move around a bit.

Thanks so much ladies - it's put my mind at rest somewhat!

I do actually feel worse when my stomach's full and just before bowel movement  So I wonder if the slowing down digestive system does make things worse...I guess you are right that as time goes by things will only get worse with more pains :dohh:

I had a TON of stretching, pulling, and heaviness between 14-18 weeks. I'm a first time mom, too and it was just stretching. I've read that between 16-18 weeks there is a fetal "growth spurt" so I'm sure it's just your body getting ready for that.

Heaviness - that's the right word for it! Almost like tension and heaviness!

Better today

I did wonder if bean goes through growth spurts inside already and it sounds like it does :cloud9:

this is me right now! It especially happens when I'm standing up of sitting awkwardly! I couldn't explain the feeling either when I posted about it because it was worrying to.

Hi, I think u r due the same as me! I'm due 28th June? I have the same, mentioned it to my consultant and he said it was just thing stretching and completely normal. Its normal to worry thou, I have 4 miscarriages before so ive been worrie.d lots

The digestion does make it worse. It could be gas pains too. I get them still at 25 weeks and it goes away when I poop or pass gas

Definitely had the worst of that right around 14 wks. I'm sure you're absolutely fine.

I get it at tmes too - glad to hear it is fairly common :)

Oh, ladies, thank so much for the reassurance :hugs:

I do agree it's normal to worry but Im just so glad Ive got you to reassure me

I do find that eating a heavy meal/being slightly constipated/etc makes it worse. I guess because there's less room for the uterus so it's trying to re-arrange things in there :haha:

I get uncomfy in the evenings, kind of like there's something in the way in my belly, which I suppose there is

I get really uncomfortable if I need a poo!

Becad -

I sometimes keep thinking why do I feel nauseous, tired, achey - what's so different?! I guess there's a person growing inside me so that's the very minor difference

Yes my uterus feels very, full, I guess! Also, sometimes when I'm laying down at night if I laugh it hurts, almost feels like pulling a muscle or something. I just assumed it was ligaments stretching!

sounds like braxton hicks to me.. if the bump feels tight (all over the bump or in certain places) its a good chance its braxton hicks. you can get them at any stage of the pregnancy, but theyre stronger at the end 'cos your uterus is at its biggest! :)
