14dpo To Test or Not To Test

Hi ladies

So am 14dpo today, and period should have been here this morning, but am so scared to test. I had been testing up to 11 dpo but it drove me nuts trying to spot an imaginary line So stopped testing.

Period was due today but nothing at the moment other than larger boobs and a few cramps sp very strange. The question is do I send hubby out now to waste more money on tests or hold out for period!!

Bit of a silly question as I think I know what you will all say Test Test Test, with many of us being POASholics

It also very strange as generally I wouldn't think twice about buying more but something has me anxious this time, just can't explain the feeling. I would be very shocked to see BFP as certainly have thought I was out this month all month!!

Thanks Bunnie and hi Wildflower, I have been using OPK's for approximately 6 months now although not charting, also checking CM and cervical position. My cycles have been very regular for the past 6 months and used this method for my other 3 kids.

I am begining to wonder though around the time of ovulation I was birthing partner which was quite stressful and have read that sometimes ovulation can be delayed for many reasons, I have also started working night shifts so perhaps I geared up for ovulation and then maybe ovulated later.

Well theres only one thing for it Hubby has gone to get a test, if I am pregnant I am sure it would show by now, so shall do one first thing tomorrow.

Good luck with the test tomorrow am! If you were pretty stressed around the time when your OPKs were +, it would make sense that your body was gearing up to O but never actually did. Have you considered charting your temps? That helps to confirm your if you actually did O or not.

Wild, yeah I defo am wondering whether that is what happened, I really didn't want to get into charting. To be honest I promised myself that I was going to stop obssessing as 2 months ago I had a chemical pregnancy which gutted me although very early. I thought at the time if only I had not tested early I would never have known.

Silly thing is with my 3 other children I fell pregnant within 2 months of coming off birth control, first of which was the Depo shot continuous for 8 years!!! No OPKS just a general idea of ovulation due to CM, pains etc. Waited until my period was due and wham BFP. I guess its just getting to me that this time has been so different.

I might however after this month be asking for your advice on that!!
