My mom was a teen mom, so I did not expect to become one also. I'm just very confused on what I should do? I mean, how does anyone know they're ready to be a mom? And my parents don't know yet. I feel like I'm only looking at the negative, but I just don't know what to do..

Im also 17 and pregnant, my mum had her first baby when she was 18 .. I didnt know what to do at first i waited 2 weeks to tell my parents i was dreading telling them as my dad is very over protective but everything is so better now i've told them, i live with my dad and he has been good about it and my mum is also helping alot, as i don't have a job both of them are helping with finances for the baby such as buying the pram, cot etc and now everythings off my chest i'm so really looking forward to having the baby in january :) When u due? x

We're all in the same position as you, it'll be okay. I was really scared at first and didn't know what to do. Telling my mom did make me feel a lot better though, maybe you should tell her first? She'll probaly understand since she was in the same situation.

Things happen, but just make the best of them. Everything's going to be fine, :hugs:
xx

There is never a time when you'll be 100% ready, but I'd suggest telling them. It gets much easier after that and she'll probably be very understanding as she's been there! :)

its definatly alot better once you get it out in the open, i know i felt like whole weight had been lifted off my shoulders when i told my dad, and i'm sure your mum will understand how you must be feeling etc, after all she's been there, and she'll probably have some great advice for you too

My LO is due in 2 weeks & I'm still not ready :haha: I think being a mum is something that you can't really prepare yourself fully for, so don't worry about how you're feeling :)

Best thing to do is let your parents know, if your mum has been in that position then I'm sure she'll be very supportive after the initial shock :)

& huge congratulations too! wishing you a happy & healthy 9 months xx

Hi hun.
congrats and welcom.
Im 17 and my mom was 18 when she got pregnant with me.
I'm almost 28 weeks and I'm still not ready for my LO to be there but when she is I know everything and how I feel with not being ready will go away.
you Got to tell your mom. I told my mom 2 days after I found out cause I had prom the day after I found out.
She might be upset or dissapointed like my mom was but that will all eventually go away and she will be there for you
