17th time's a charm!

That's how the saying goes, right!?!

We're TTC #3 and we're on cycle 17 *sigh! My kids are 9 and 6 (soon to be 7) and I turn 34 in a couple days. Hubby doesn't want any children after 35 so the countdown is on... *another sigh

This is getting harder and harder. Every month I'm a bigger mess than I was the month before. I live in a rural area and it's impossible to see a specialist in fertility. I saw my family doctor in Sept. and she sent a referral to an ob/gyn, I finally got an appt. for Feb. 26th. I only had to wait 5 months! *another sigh So by the time I'm seen, get some tests, be seen again, I'll be 35!!! *heavy sigh

This sucks!!!

Do you know if your ovulating or not? Maybe its not your body thats giving the problems but could be your husband. I wish you the best of luck. Oh btw I see your profile name is Newfiefan..are you from Newfoundland? Just curious..cause I am.

Yeah, I am from NL! Where abouts are you from?

Yeah, I'm ovulating (pretty certain). The man is supposed to be tested this month... so we'll find out if he's the issue or not.

I hope that you have luck soon! It took my husband and I 18 months, but we were also seeing a fertility specialist. It's also quite possible that we could have conceived on our own, as they didn't find any issues with either of us. Have you tried charting your temperatures so that you know for sure if you are ovulating? I did that for a few months prior to seeing a specialist. Just know it can happen. Praying for you!

We are on round 14 so not too far behind you... I went through an annovulatory period with 65 day cycles and so on but am now back on track and seem to be ov'ing on my own, but am still using clomid to ensure it happens.. and it is! So yay... but after 14 months... something has to give... so hubby dropped off his sperm sample yesterday and we get his results next week.... fx he has some good guys in there and same for your man!

How did the results go after?

I'm due to have my period on the weekend so we'll see if cycle #17 really is the charm or not...

On a stranger note - a casual aquaintance messaged me on facebook and told me she had a dream that I was pregnant with twins or triplets!

I still have my appt. on the 26th and my hubby is suppose to do his sample about a week before. It's a good time for him to do it because if this cycle doesn't work out I'll still be on my period and he can give a good sample.
