18 weeks Period like cramps???

Im 18 weeks & woke up yesterday with period like cramps. They are low down in my uterus & my lower back, I chilled out all day & they didnt get any worse! But woke up this morning with them again & they are a little more painful today. They are just like a constant ache that you get when you are on your period, no sharp pains or anything.
I feel like there will be blood every time I go to the bathroom but there hasnt been any (Thank God)

Is this normal? Should I be worried?

If you are very worried, you can always consult your physician or MW.... but I personally have period type cramps that come and go and I've come the the conclusion they are just "growing pains" due to this being our first child and our bodies are adjusting. I know that it can be scary.

I'm with Katie. I've been getting them for a couple of weeks. They are mild and mainly on my lower back. But they are exactly the same cramps I get during O or before AF (remember when we used to need those abbreviations??? )
I may ask my mw about it on Tuesday but I'm not very worried, especially since my belly has gotten 10 time sbigger this last week.

Yea my bump is growing everyday & I used my doppler this morning & heartbeat is good & strong! Its just so weird feeling like AF is comming when Im 18 weeks pregnant!!

second hand advice as im not there yet but my friend had them right the way through, little girl is almost 8 weeks now x
