18 weeks pregnant getting really bad cramps

Hiya, I am 18 weeks pregnant tomorrow and for the past two weeks I have been getting really bad stomach cramps (like period pains) that wake me up early morning and last all day! They have me doubled over ... is this normal ?

I've had this for the last 2 weeks too, it's awful and so unpleasant. I went to early pregnancy last week cause I was so worried they checked me and baby and said all was fine. They didn't really shed much light either, said it could be ligament pain, bowel spasms or a tummy bug. Mine eases through the day if I drink a lot of water. Are you drinking enough?

Yeah I do drink plenty, I was going to phone the midwife helpline but I didnt know if it was normal.
Im still thinking of phoning them because its getting to the point where I cant move when they are there, and there waking me up at ridiculous times.
Where did you go to get to the early pregnancy place?

I just had bad case of tummy pains.
It was kind of like period cramp it was whole cirlce band around my stomach. It hurt to stand straight, i went to bed and hoped to sleep it off.
I woke up, still there if not worse. I lay on my right side, few rumbles in my tummy. Well, turned out to be gas. All cramps went, ive had bad gas cramps before that was a whole new level.

I went to early pregnancy at the local hospital. Not sure where In the world you are but I'm in UK.
I hope it had eased off a little by now. If not I would get straight to the hospital to be seen by a doctor x

If you've had them for 2 weeks I'd say if anything bad were to come of them it would have already

You should look up "round ligament pain" and see if it sounds like what you are feeling. I am 17 weeks and felt period-like cramps all day yesterday, some were pretty strong if I moved funny or sneezed but today they are not as intense..
