welcome maybebaby! no lectures from me - I just didn't know you could order prescription medication online. I wish you the best and hope everything runs smoothly for you. I am happy to hear you have a plan in motion and a 'just in case' plan in the event that you have some wacky side effects. Since you won't be monitored by a doctor, will you be using opk's? Temping?
plsbpositive - i too have had quite a few side effects from Clomid. The cramping for sure - i start to feel it after i have finished my pill days (cd 3-7) and I feel them more and more as I near ovulation, and then again as I am nearing the end of my cycle. To me, it is a good sign the medication is stimulating the ovaries to do what they are supposed to do. I have also had minor lower back pain that happens fairly infrequently - might feel it once or twice a day for 5-10 mins at a time. The cramping/lower abdomen tenderness and bloating are the side effects that are most pronounced for me. I also tend to feel a little nauseated but I do have a sensitive stomach.
From what you have described it sounds like all is working well and that your side effects are par for the course. (i.e. normal considering how the medication is meant to work) - the stuffy nose could be a coincidence - changing of the seasons or lowered immune system (especially if you are feeling the stress of TTC) can cause that. My RE told me any very painful cramps or nausea to the point of vomiting, and dizziness are causes for concern. As are visual disturbances - she said blurriness should be reported. I am no expert but what you have sounds mild and normal. Because this is your first cycle don't be shy to call in any questions or concerns you might have. I did that my first cycle cause, like you, I was concerned that I was having what I felt were alot of side effects on only 50mg of Clomid. My RE told me that it is a good thing that I am responding well to the lowest dose and that as long as I feel that I can manage the side effects there is no reason to stop treatment
I hope that offers you some reassurance. Best of luck this cycle! Not long until you can test!
