1st cycle with clomid

Did you get any side effects with your 1st round of clomid?

No, thankfully I did not. In my crazy mind it made me worry that it wasn't working. I was not able to get bloom work done, but my temps and AF confirmed ovulation.

Ugh I still have not heard anything from my dr office about my repeat bloodwork so at this point its still just a waiting game. Today is cd30 and still no af and no signs of her so that could either be a good thing or a bad thing. Im not testing for a while maybe next week sometime because I know for sure I didnt ovulate on day 14 if I even ovulated this month at all.

Anybody got any news? When do you guys start testing??

sorry to hear you are in limbo - i would try to follow up with your dr.'s office on Monday in regards to your blood work. Hopefully no AF means a BFP. KMFX

no news from me yet - i have my follow up on monday to confirm o and find out endo lining and follicle measurements at day 14 - depending on what these results are, I will be testing on Thursday (day 28) assuming AF doesn't show up first - it was early last month

I'm on CD30, No af yet. Last night I had migraine, the usual sign of coming af... I'm not keeping my hopes up for this cycle..for last week, all signs are pointing to af coming.

Spjd, did clomid messed up your cycle? I'm a regular 28-30 day gal. I ovulated on the 16th and if I'm not pregnant I should be getting af today.

How I wish all this missed period were experiencing is BFP! Fx for all of us!

Hey ladies!

Did you notice that your BBT is high while taking Clomid and a couple days after? I definitely experienced some hot flashes this round and my BBT is overall higher than it's been in the past. I am CD12 today, so I am nervous the high temps I had from taking Clomid CD5-9 (still slightly elevated today) with throw off my whole cart. Any thoughts?

Also, I had my HSG this morning. Has anyone had one before? I don't like that I had to do it on CD12 when I ovulated on CD13 last cycle. I hope it does not interfere....

Just received some good news for this cycle - I did ovulate (approx. one week ago based on my blood work) and there were two healthy sized follicles measured at 15mm and 17mm both on the right ovary. Endo lining was also good - measured at 9.1mm on day 14. So again Clomid has done its job, so now to wait and see if my body took over the rest I have a few more days to wait until I can test. Say a little prayer for me!

How's everyone else doing? Any good news to report?

@plsbpositive - to answer your question, Clomid has actually regulated my periods back to 28 day cycles - they used to range in length from 30-45 days give or take (that was when I wasn't ovulating at all though)

Well im offically out today well there ia always next cycle. Called my doctors office today since i still havent gotten my test results but since i started my period not sure if it matters now. But im hoping i did indeed ovulate this month.

sorry to hear the disappointing news It is never easy seeing a BFN. Sending hugs and positive vibes for this upcoming cycle! You should definitely find out from the doc what your blood work results showed. If you didn't ovulate this cycle, they will increase your dose to ensure you do ovulate.

I got my meds in the mail today and took my first dose of provera already! Anywhere from a few days to 24 days until I get AF and can start clomid! Never been so excited to get AF!

Early this morning, I have spotting and it's only visible when I wipe with toilet paper. This sure isn't implantation bleeding since I'm already on CD32. I've tested yesterday and it was negative.

I think I'm back to my usual routine, spotting a week before af. After stopping birth control, around CD21, I start spotting and then around CD28-30 is full blown period. But with clomid, it has lengthen my cycle day. I really thought clomid fixed the spotting because of low progesterone issue. Now it makes me think that there's some underlying cause

I've already given the doctor a call and just waiting for the next action plan on this.

I guess I'm for round 2! AF is definitely coming. GL and FX for those in their 2ww. Praying that this will be your lucky cycle!

Any bfp to report? I know i didnt get my happy ending this cycle but am hoping someone does from this thread. Im currently on cd 7 and taking my last pill of clomid today, my doctor put me on 100 mg for this cycle even tho I did ovulate because it was so late.

Just curious - how late did you ovulate before getting switched to 100mg? I ovulated on time with 50 mg the first cycle. I am on my second cycle with 50mg and still waiting on (or to confirm) ovulation on CD19... If things do not go well this cycle, maybe I should ask to switch to 100mg?

Update....

I'll be starting my second round of clomid, today, CD5-9, still at 25mg since I ovulated last cycle. I just had an ultrasound today and had more than 10 immature follicles per ovary. The sonographer said that I've got PCOS. I guess that explains my anovulatory cycle, low progesterone and all those classic signs of PCOS. I just didn't think I have one because I'm underweight.

Any good news from you guys?

My doctor wanted to up my meds because I didnt show any ovulation spike at my 21 day check. She had me come in on day 26 for repeat and it did show ovulation but that i most likely ovulated around cd 18-21. She told me that ovulating after cd 19 it most likely isnt a good ovulation. She also had me take my pills day 3-7 instead of 5-9. Hopefully I ovulate better this time around.

A few days after my 1st round of clomid, my temps were elevated. But it was only my second month to temp so not sure if that's the usual scenario on those days.

I've realized that temping can be stressful, so moving forward, I will not be temping anymore. But I'll use opk to pinpoint ovulation date.

What labs will y'all be doing for this round? As for me, I don't know yet. I forgot to ask the nurse yesterday when I did the ultrasound. I'll probably give them a call by the end of this week, once DH Semen analysis is in.

I had my HSG this cycle and will be going in for my CD21 blood work tomorrow. I had CD3 blood work done last cycles and husband had his semen analysis. Everything is normal on his end. Just hope it all comes down to getting me to ovulate and timing.

I think we have very similar backgrounds.

I'm 27 my husband and I have been TTC for 8-9 months
we haven't used BC for 6 for years...I went to the OB in feb I did all my testing in march and it all came back normal except my progesterone. I was at 5. he thought I O'd early but according to my OPK I am usually spot on day 14 & my typical cycle is 28-30 days. I was prescribed Clomid 2 weeks ago to take days 5-9 of my next cycle which should start tomorrow.
we tried this month without using opk. according to my FF i was supposed to O the 13th but i calculated the 10th. lol. anywho I don't know if i'm out or if i'm still in the TWW lol.

i've been feeling like a Debbie downer lately, everyone around me is preggo and I just want to know when the crap it's my turn.

any crazy symptoms or advice you have for starting the first round of clomid?

** Hub is going for a semen analysis friday. his testosterone levels came back normal on the low side of it but normal. IDK what that means lol.
