2/5 engaged, how much time left?

Hi girls,

yesterday I was at my 38. week midwife appointment, and she said baby´s head is 2/5 engaged, in my notes that means engaged, as most is below the brim. 1/5 or 0/5 means deeply engaged. At my 36 week app she was 5/5 (free).
Last three days I have frequent pain in the pelvic area (few seconds in intervals, not regular), what do you think, how much time left to my labour? I know, maybe stupid questions, but it´s my first baby

My baby was almost fully engaged 2 weeks ago at my midwife appointment. I hoped it would mean labour was close but I think like everything else its a good sign but no guarantee the baby is coming.

Really wish there was an exact science to this.

Unfortunately there is no definite answer. I was 2/5 at my 38 week appointment (at 38+5) only to be back to 4/5 at my 40 week appointment (40+5). I'm still waiting for baby at 10 days overdue and he/she is currently 3/5.

I have been told that some babies engage early, others not until you are in labour. How engaged baby is is no indication of when labour will begin - sorry!

With my first I was fully engaged at 34 weeks and he came 4 days late so I dont think it means anything x

I was fully engaged also at 34 weeks and my LO was 5 days late.
Sadly there's no good indication of when you wil go into labor when baby is good and ready.
I spent weeks thinking 'is this it' with every twinge. But when it's started, you'll know!

I was 2/5ths right up to the day I gave birth! I was 6 days over

My bubs was 2/5th engaged at 37 weeks and nothing so far
