Well, my consultant does it by how palpable they are ie 5/5 palpable means head is fully felt and hasn't dropped into the pelvis yet.... So he is not engaged.... Ie 0/5 engaged.. Last week I was 4/5 palpable which meant he could feel most of the head is free and I was only 1/5 engaged.
Today I can feel baby is really low... I can barely walk as I feel his head is low down and consultant had a feel and said baby is 2/5 palpable, which is 3/5 engaged... Ie pretty low down... I feel really achey and anxious today.. Feel like something will happen soon!!!!
