2 days until 3dt IVF - scared/nervous

This morning the embryologist called (I had left my phone on the bed while I took a shower and of course missed her call!!!) we did the EC on Friday and she was calling to let me know that of the 9 eggs retrieved, 8 were mature and 5 were fertilized with ICIS.

I know im supposed to stay positive but after trying for 7 years (this is our first IVF cycle) I am terrified and playing out all the negative what ifs. We just need ONE to stick.. I have no idea how im going to make it through the next 2 weeks until the beta test. I dont even know if I can make it till Monday for them to call and say.. come in for the transfer lol

I feel like im going crazy!

Good luck girl! We're trying IUI one more time, then moving on to IVF/ICIS. I am completely terrified. IVF always seemed like some distant thing that we'd never have to do. I pray it works for you. I'm so scared we will spend all that money (roughly $10,000) & then it won't work. You'd think, how can it NOT work? They frick'n fertilize the egg/s & put them right where they need to be?! Anyways, please keep us updated. I can't wait to hear your success story.

I have been in your shoes and know the feeling all to well. This is a scary time but also a VERY exciting time!!! You are so close to getting your little buns in their oven!! How many will you be transferring? We transferred two on both our fresh and frozen. I hope this is it for you and you will be seeing those two beautiful lines soon!!! Keep us updated!!

Our RE transfers 2 at a time. Kind of frustrated since they never called today with an appt time of when to be there.. I live 2 hours away

Don't be afraid to give them a call and ask.

Does your doc prescribe rest after your transfer?

They called me at 645 this morning and asked if anyone had ever given me an appt time of which I very sleepily replied NO..

Went in at 11.. they xfered 2 perfectly perfect embryos and froze the other 3 which came through beautifully as well.

Now we just wait.

No Rx of bed rest, just happy thoughts, taking it easy and low stress. I do think i'll use the next few days to be as lazy as possible though! haha

Best of luck!!! Try to think lots of positive thoughts and be as lazy as you can be for the first 4-5 days until your embies make themselves comfy
