2 Weeks of Spotting, Is the Cyst Going?

Hi Ladies,

I hope anyone can give advice? Since my Failed IVF/ICSI In March I managed to get a 5cm Cyst, the FS gave me the BCP and said that should help.. 2 weeks ago had the scan and the cyst went down to half the size and said a little spotting is normal...

My question is that its been almost 2 weeks since that appointment and the spotting is very heavy and its either Pink or Brown and its been everyday? im trying not to worry about it this is just far from the norm for me

Did any one have alot of spotting with a fading cyst..? in not due on till another week thats when i check if its fully gone

I can call but i dont want to look or sound obsessed... she did say at the last appointment dont worry the spotting will continue in the next few days... but were coming up to two weeks and i have to keep changing my panty liners every few hours....

Than again hun i have it in my head that will be be starting my ICSI soon have to take the last BCP pill tonight than just wait for the witch.. sometimes ignorance is bliss i just dont want to get there and theres something happening...? just want to keep my cool pop in on CD2 and start stimming i so wish life can be that easy... Will just make me feel better knowing its the norm with a fading Cyst

Hi Nayla!

I had an almost 7cm cyst dianosed 4/19/11 when I went for my CD3 baseline ultrasound scan. Doctor prescribed Aygestin for 3 weeks. Had follow up scan 1 week later and the cyst had actually grown. My doctor scanned me again 2 weeks after initial scan and the cyst went down to 4-5cm. My doctor switched me over to birth control pills ... after 2 days of taking birth control pills I have been bleeding. I am on about the 4th or 5th day of bleeding/spotting. I did A LOT of research and read that it is EXTREMELY normal to bleed during your first month of being on Birth Control Pills. It really tweeks with your hormones therefore causing bleeding. I go back on 5/25 to check the cyst, I sure hope its gone because this has delayed TTC for 6 weeks by then. Grrrrr!!! Good luck!!!!

I will add that I spotted all through my 3 weeks on BC, but they said that it was just because the pill was very low dose and that my spotting was very little and brown, so old blood. I didn't have a cyst though, so I'm sure it's much different.

hiyaa im quite thinkin im not normal now, i had a 8cm cyst diagnosed right when we first started tryin, antibiotics for 2 weeks, shrunk to 5cm then left to disappear on its own, the only thing is i dont remeber ever having any spotting :/ maybe its just me xx

So who is normal? none of us! Your body probably just absorbed it. Everyone is so different. And most likely it all fine!
