Hi all,

We have our 20 week scan next week and don't want to find out if we have a pink or blue bun. I'm worried about finding out anyway, is it really obvious? Or will they tell me not to look when they are 'there'...?

Sorry if this is a dumbass question. But I am one.

:) x

hehe i have remained team yellow, it's not obvious at all, if you don't want to know they stay away from the money shot, just tell them at the beginning of the scan

good luck :D

I'm so excited :)

Thanks you two.

I'm worried about this too since we don't want to find out either. It seemed pretty obvious with my son, but maybe that was because we were told where to look.

my husband and i didn't want to know, my friend had her scan the day before mine, she didn't tell the scan lady she didnt want to know, with in minutes the lady said "that's her heart" my friend called me as soon as she came out and said "the second you walk in that room tell them you don.t want to know" we told her, when she went down to baby's bum she told us to look away and told us when we could look again without seeing what it was. Lol

itss not obvious at all and if you dnt want to find out jut say when you go in as they will avoid adressing baby as he/she x x

Oh really??! As much as you'd be delighted to know, I would be a bit upset at the decision being taken out of our hands! I'm going to be walking in screaming it with my hands over my eyes and earmuffs on 'DONT TELL ME ANYTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!'

Jeez this pregnancy malarky makes you mental.

every scan is different but if they are checking baby properly and checking all is okay you can easily see when it is a boy! I.ve only been to 7 scans but you could tell on every one!

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh :(

I don't wanna know!!!!!

We did not wish to find out with our first two children although it was fairly obvious that our second baby was a boy during our 20 week scan. DH said to me as we walked out 'did you see what I saw'.

I think I would let the operator know that you really don't want to know so that you can look away when they scan that area.

I am amazed by your willpower! how do you do it!? I literally HAVE to know!

I really must stop being so friggin impatient with everything.

I had my appointment Tuesday and she asked us if we wanted to know and we said no. Anytime she was checking in that area, she told us to look away. It was really tempting to find out, but we'll make it. :)

So glad to see so many with will power!! I'd be sooo disapointed if they told me what I was having. I loved the suprise first time round, the only thing I'm doing different is I'm leaving the nursery till after the birth so I can go with apropriate colours... I did pastels with my son and hated it as soon as I got home, wanted it blue and boyish!!! Even that's not tempted me to find out if were team blue or pink!!

It does seem that more people find out than not doesn't it? Lots of my friends are very disappointed that we're not finding out! My family are happy though :). I would be gutted to find out too, hope they don't blurt it out!!!

Oh MAN I'm so excited, 5 more peeps...

x

I had my 20 week scan yesterday! I told her I didn't want to know, so she kept the screen turned toward her when she was doing all the measurements etc. and then she she showed me, she didn't even go near there!

The pictures she gave me are 2 profile, one face on, and one foot! So she didn't even go close :)
