20 week scan today!! *UPDATED*

Hey ladies so i have my 20 week scan in less than 2 hours and i'm so nervous!!! when i found out the gender at 16 weeks at a private scan the lady did as many anomaly checks as she could so i thought i would be fine but i'm so scared now!!! also what if she tells me its actually a boy?? of course i don't mind but it would be so weird after 6 weeks thinking girl! I just heard so many things on here saying at 16 weeks told one gender and at a later scan told another! i'm also hoping she is measuring on target too. at 13 weeks she was 1 day behind and then at 16 weeks was 3 days behind. although i do have longer cycles and my early scans told me i was due 5 days later than i think so! ok i'm gonna stop typing as the more i type the more things that are coming into my head to freak out about!! anyways wish me luck!!!

Hi hun, i was scared at my 20 week scan too, i think its only natural we worry. My baby was measuring 19+4 on 1 measurement and 19+1 on another but i was 19weeks, they dont often change dates at this scan, they just say give or take a week from first dates. I didnt find out what I am having partly for the reasons you named above, I couldnt bare the thought of buying for one gender and another popping out or anything like that...Im sure all will be fine hun, good luck and let us know how you get on xxx

I have to share - I thought it was a girl through my whole pregnancy up until last week!!!
I started laughing when she told me boy because I couldn't believe I was so wrong.

I'm estatic, though, just couldn't believe my feeling was totally wrong!

It is my second baby so i'm not as scared as i was before. also my first was 11lb2oz born so was huge but at 20 week scan only measured 1 day ahead so i supposed anything can happen!! will let u know!! thanks ladies!!

good luck! they say u can be up to 10 days out of your est due date.
i remember at my 20 week scan before he was measuring 21 weeks. xx

im sure everythings totally perfect and they got the sex correct
they told me at 13 weeks a boy,well only 70% so i really cant wait for my scan in a week to see x

back from scan. baby seems good thank god. only thing is she only has a 1 umbilical arterie instead of 2. it just means that she could end up being smaller than usual but could also be ok size too. gonna ask in the forum what it means. i googled and of course i shouldnt have! measuring 5 days behind or so. but i do have a longer cycle!
