Iv already had a gender scan at 16 weeks and they said girl . She was pretty convinced it was a girl . But I didn't know what I was looking at hehe .
But my nerves are shot now I case come Thursday it's wrong . And it's a boy .

I would of been delighted with another boy if they told me that day . But now I so used to the idea of having a daughter and iv built all my excitement up about it .

What are the odds on it being wrong .

Of course there's a chance, but I doubt they would have said anything unless they saw the girl bits-did you see the three lines for a girl yourself?

I had a scan at 14 weeks and said boy-I too wondered if that was right, but he is still a boy!
I looked this up online and found a poll on another forum where it was something like 80/90% were correct, so i say the odds are in your favour :)

It's generally pretty rare these days for gender identification to be wrong, our equipment has come a long way. That being said 9 out of 10 times if the tech is un sure in the slightest they will have been likely to state that to you for liability purposes in the least. I found out I was having a boy at just 13w4d, confirmed at 18 and 19 weeks by different techs. xx

We'll I think so she said look at the white lines . But I didn't really know what I was looking at

Friends of ours were told boy. Then when they were having cesarean they were asked if they knew, they said yes, a boy. And the person delivering was like.....'oh, well I hope you're not disappointed-its a girl' that was 4 years ago.they'd decorated the bedroom in blue and boys clothes etc. They had 't even discussed girls names so they didn't name until week 6!

Its unlikely they are wrong, it happens 9 times out of 10 gender scans are right.

If anything nhs scan more chance being incorrect as its rushed (if they even look)
