2014 Bargain Thread!

For those of you getting the snapfish cards offer for future bdays etc what way are you doing it? I'm just thinking will it look silly if I did birthday thank yous for later in the later but use photos of her now IYsWIM

Guess I just need some inspiration ladies so tell me what you ordered

For thank you cards, I got ones with photos of the kids but they're old enough that people won't be able to tell the photos are old, especially not great grandparents, aunties etc who rarely see them. I ordered some birthday invitations for my LO's birthday in September so I ordered ones without photos and didn't add any text (printed on writeable card) so we can handwrite on the info. It was just a generic birthday invitation - a pink cake, flowers etc, she chose it! I will maybe try putting them through the printer to add details and the back is plain white so we might be able to add a photo.

i didn't use a photo, there's an option to view
plain ones, didn't fancy putting her face on them to hand
them out to people i barely know, i've already booked
everything for the birthday so i just put the details on them

did it on writeable paper in case i need to add anything else
spent ages designing it, everything had to be central lol

Looks like someone broke h&m again! Just gone on to order a few pairs of PJs for the lo with the £5 off code and it says shop closed!

The code ends today I think too, so annoyed.

I just managed to place an order so might be working again? I'm using the mobile site on my iphone if that makes a difference? xx

Just tried looking around tescos and they didn't have any of the DVDs I've seen mentioned on a few other sites although I did find disneys dinosaurs on DVD for £1 but it was already labeled at that price. They also had all the annuals for £1 xx

Thanks but gave up and ordered on my next account. Next statement won't be fun to pay x

Couldn't get glitch to work on H&M tonight had to be more than £6 to pay. Still ordered some bits and ended up paying less than £8 for 2tops and 2track pants for bubba so not going to complain. Just hope some of my orders (not just H&m) start turning up.

So glad that I went to sainsburys today, got loads of little people princess stuff half price-thanks to the person who posted about it. Got aerials carriage for £12.50, aladdins carpet and cruella's car for £7.50 and 3 packs of duo figures at £3.75! That's my little girl nearly done once I get the palace cheap!
They had lots of other great reductions too, got some TMNT Lego half price and a few other pre school toys half price! They also had a little tikes activity garden from £39.99 down to £12!

I went to my sainsburys today, they had NO little people and that's what I wanted

DD will be 1 in October and I got some thank you cards for her birthday presents from relatives. I used the first hospital photo from the day she was born with the text 'One year old, already!'


Went into tescos earlier, absolutely no bargains whatsoever!

I read on HUKD that the reason you won't find anything at Tesco is because all the staff are buying it or putting it aside to buy it.

I hate this it shouldnt be allowed. My mum was in tescos the other week and they had the huge m+m xmas cracker shape things for £1. When my mum was being served at the till the worker asked her did she see if there were any left and mum said yes a few. This woman literally ran from the till she was serving my mum at and brought some back to hide for herself

i'd have complained, bargains are bargains but customer
service should come before them, she could have atleast
waited until after serving her

I don't mind staff getting the first pick. They're probably on minimum wage or a little over it and working on their feet all day, they deserve it!

shouldn't be allowed, seems a bit rude to me



i got my snapfish invitations this morning and
they are gorgeous! my partner works for a paper
distributor and even he was impressed with the
quality, the card is quite expensive apparently so
even more of a bargain, woooo
