2015 Waiters?

my DH is a Marine, we are here in Hawaii because it was where he was stationed. We have been living here for the past 4 years, we are originally from New York. We will be moving back because he gets out of the military around Christmas. He will be looking for a new job as soon as he gets out, and we may end up having to move again :dohh: maybe to Virginia, Maryland, Georgia, or D.C.

these next few months are going to be hellish, lol, so how is everyone else today?

ooo, that sounds rough! but you have each other and your gorgeous little girl so home is where ever you all are together, right?

I'm good :) still high off happiness and excitement about finally knowing what's to come, I finally feel in control of my life again! I started my own WTT journal yesterday :happydance: after stalking everyone else's for a good while now :haha:

Much love xox

just wanted to Bump this thread back up to see if I'm going crazy or not (probably, most definitely am!)
Do any of my WTT 2015 ladies feel like they really want to start pricing everything up for when your baby/s arrive and even start buying things. I've been looking at houses we should be able to afford in the area we want to raise our kids in but we wont be buying untill a few years! :dohh: WHAT AM I DOING?! honestly I feel absolutely barmy! prices will have changed (for houses and baby materials) and there will be different houses on the market, but why can I not stop myself?! I know it's illogical and will not help me much :dohh:

I do the same thing! I can't help myself. you are definitely not mad!!!!!

speaking of houses, me and DH started looking at houses for sale online. It's so fun to think that we might be able to live in one of these some day. I found so many beautiful ones, I also found that I am really picky. DH and I want a 3 or 4 bedroom, 2 bath.

After looking around I have determined that I really would like something unique. I like the Ranch style, although that might be a bit small, I also like the bungalo style, and some of the victorian. Those A style houses are pretty awesome too, or the cape cod style. I don't like the coloniel, its too square and tall and boring for my taste, lol, but I would love a house with bright or stone alone the bottom of it. None of that tacky carpet or wall paper either, ew.

I'm too picky for my own good.

Besides all that, I am taking a vacation with Nora to California in 3 days, and my chainmaille jewelry is going great. Although I haven't really sold anything yet :/

Hello everybody, I'm 19 and have been with my boyfriend since I was 16.
I'm hoping to ttc around August 2015 when we've both finished uni (his degree is 6 years long!). It seems strange posting so far in advance, but hopefully having some people to talk to will hold off the baby urges.
Hope to get to know you all :)

Already started pricing thing AND buying :dohh: I've been knitting blankets and booties as well. Everybody thinks I'm crazy but clearly there are others as baby mad out there!

:happydance: I knew I wasn't crazy :haha:

I do feel like I'm goig a bit crazy now though it's 3.10am here and I went from being exhausted at 7pm falling asleep watching tv to sleeping and then all of a sudden wide awake!!!

HAHAHAHAHA! :haha: You jest, you jest. I've been looking at houses/prices of stuff for at least a year, now. What of it? :coffee:

I'm always researching and looking at buying baby stuff as there's so many options. I don't wanna have to worry about which bedding to buy when I'm pregnant. I want to enjoy being pregnant...okay and maybe buying more cute clothes. As for houses, I'm always interested to look at houses in the area we're going to move to, to see how much they are, and to compare to Sydney prices. Plus I like researching the facilities in the region we're moving to as we won't know anyone.

As for already buying stuff [when we're not TTC til 14/15 hehe], I have OH's 'permission' to do so, for the purposes of stockpiling. I am a member of Freecycle, so I have access to free stuff in my area and people post a lot of baby items, toys, clothes etc. I intend to buy almost everything else [except maybe cot mattress and car seat] 2nd hand/at markets etc. For this reason, I need to allow myself a lot time to collect as much free stuff as possible, then to buy the rest as cheap as possible [since the quality and quantity of items varies and there isn't exactly a catalogue for Salvo's].

The only thing I have actually aquired so far, I got on the weekend from a member of the Sydney AP group. She gave me a rocker. It was in tip top shape but had some pilling on the fabric. I enjoyed spending the arvo talking to OH while shaving off the pilling. Now it's good as new!

I am finding that researching and getting items is a good coping mechanism, helps utilise WTT time and helps educate OH [and may help him to get 'ready'??]. Plus, who doesn't love free stuff or a bargain. I might be loco but I'm happy about it! :smug:

I'm nervous to buy anything too big, like a pram that's cheap or a cot,
don't want to jinx anything as I had a miscarriage just before turning 17
It definitely helps the baby cravings to look at baby bedding and things online
Something else that's nice is collecting baby/toddler food recipes, its a good ongoing project that can be compiled into a binder or book, thus taking up more wwt time

What's the "craziest" preparation you guys have started?

Me! Only been with OH 2 months, so a looooong wait yet. 2015 seems likely, but its sooo long away :(

Needs to be done though, got uni, moving, job etc to get done first :dohh:
