I shall be 23 weeks on Friday and it's starting to drag a little bit, I'm pregnant with my second so I've not got another appoint until 28 weeks if I recall, seems so long ago I saw my mw!

I'm struggling to sleep a bit, I end up in the spare room (the nursery) most nights as once I wake it's takes ages to get back to sleep!

Bumps coming along although other women say I'm big already, everyone's different though.

I'm just glad so far that I've been much more healthy this pregnancy, I've gained 9lbs so far and it's nearly all bump.

Hope you are all ok!!!

Hi Lucylu,

I'm 23 weeks today with my first and am quite big. My DH tells me its because I'm short baby has nowhere to go but out ha ha

I'm feeling good...only complaints (and I can't really think of them as complaints as such as I've had a really easy time of things so far) is discomfort in my left hip at night and carpal tunnel in my left wrist...both of which are old injuries that have flared up. I have a tilted pelvis. Going to make another appointment with my osteopath today as I saw her a month ago and she really sorted me out...it was my right hip that was aching at that stage.

I'm feeling baby move throughout the day now and my hubby felt baby kick for the first time on Monday night 😍

It feels like it has totally flown for me but think that is also due to studying on top of working. I finished up with an exam on Friday so think things may start to slow down now.

I've put on 11 lbs to date which I'm happy with...although I'm due to get on the scales when I get out of bed, and given how bump has grown this week I'd be surprised if that hasn't gone up again.

How are you finding things second time around? xxx

I'm only short too - 4"11 so yes, bump does need to go out!!

I'm ok apart from pelvic pain which I didn't experience with my first, i've been for physio but all I came away with was pelvic floor exercises which i've done religously for 3 weeks and it's still quite bad at times. I will mention it to my mw at 28 wk appoint unless it gets worse before.

I think second time around i've felt bab's a lot earlier, he wriggles around all day but mainly at night - Another reason I can't get back to sleep!

Do you know what you are having or are you team yellow?

We are team yellow but I'm fairly convinced I saw boy parts at our 20 week scan 💙💙💙 The NCT where we live was sued a couple of years back so they won't tell you what sex you are having. They didn't ask if we wanted to know either and when she was measuring femur length it was pretty obvious what we were looking at. Some people have said it could have been the cord but it was a definite meat and two veg!!

Have you tried an osteo, I find mine really has helped xxx

No I don't know if we have one around here, I can always enquire though, thanks!

Ah yes the winky (as it's called in my house) .... Once you've seen it it's quite visible isn't it! We paid for a private scan and saw we were Team Blue again before she even told us!

Do you work?? When are you starting ML? I'm starting 1st August due to school holidays, it's a month earlier than I would of normally but i'm having that extra month off with my boy to spoil him before his baby brother arrives ;)

I'm at 22 +3 or so right now, and feeling pretty great. This is my first, and I'm hoping that the second half of this pregnancy goes as smoothly as the first. I didn't have MS, so I'm feeling really lucky.

I just started feeling baby last week, and now I can feel him (Team Blue too!) going crazy after I eat especially. He must like food as much as mommy. I've gained 18 so far, and I'm desperately trying to make better food choices to slow down this weight gain before my next appointment on Monday. I was about 20 lbs overweight from my ideal before I started, so I was hoping to only go up 15-20 throughout. I didn't gain at all in the first trimester and thought I was on track, but now I've just blown up.

No aches and pains so far. I've had a little bit of heartburn/acid reflux, but only about one a week. I was getting almost daily nosebleeds a couple weeks ago, but that seems to have stopped now *fingers crossed*

Hey :)

I'm 22 weeks now, turn 23 weeks on Sunday.

I'm huge compared to the pregnancy with DD. I look about 8 weeks ahead of her neat bump. I'm also piling on the pounds - put on a stone and a half already  I just cannot stop eating, all. the. time. With DD I had a real savoury tooth but this time give me cakes, chocolate, doughnuts, solero icecreams (my ultimate craving) oh and fish! Which is a bit problematic as DH is allergic to fish so having to get my fill of smoked salmon at lunchtimes!

We're staying team yellow, but as so many of my pregnancy symptoms are so different this time, I do wonder if we'll have a boy this time. I'd be delighted with either though :D

I've also started to get really strong braxton hicks - I've been getting them since about 16 weeks but now they are getting much stronger. We're taking DD to Disneyland Paris this weekend so hopefully they calm down for then!

I agree about the next midwife visit seeming ageeeees away. I'm hoping to take DD to a private 3D scan around 30 weeks so she can see her sibling - hoping from what others have written we don't accidentally see gender - we've got out heart set on a surprise this time round xxx

Ha ha the winky...think I may adopt that 😊 It was very obviously a boy, I'm so sure I'd place money on baby being a boy 💙

I finish on the 8th September so just under 3 months to go. Having that time to treasure and spoil your eldest is going to be so special!!

Evening All!!! Hope we are all feeling ok?

Hubby's on nights tonight and I shouldn't say it but I love it these days! I've got a fresh bed waiting for me, i'm wearing fresh pj's and I had a bath earlier on with a lush face mask. DS is tucked up in bed, i've eaten a lovely healthy Salmon Salad and i'm about to watch Season 2 finale of Scandal Its. All. Good.

So over the last few days i've been getting really tight and uncomfortable at the top of my bump which as i'm so short is right up under my boobs, i'm pretty sure it's from sitting down at my desk all day, especially as when I came home, did some light gardening and didn't sit down for a good hour or two it just went.

I must try to start walking around a bit at work, starting tomorrow!!!! I've got my son's first sports day tomorrow afternoon so i'm finishing at one to go watch him, can't wait! It's meant to be a real nice afternoon here too so some sun would be a huge welcome!

Speak soon,

Lu x

I am 23w tomorrow. The last few weeks have gone really quickly because I have been busy, and these next few should go fast as well. I have put on 12lbs, just hit 140lbs today! I am 5'7" so there is a good amount of room for baby, but I have really stretched out in the past two weeks.

Baby is kicking strongly enough that I think he might start to keep me awake soon, but for now I've been sleeping ok. Biggest baby concern right now is getting a registry together so people can shop for the shower. I'm totally unconcerned with picking out baby things, so I guess the nesting instinct has not kicked in yet!

I will be 22 weeks on Friday, all seems good I have occasional aches and pains, pelvic pain mostly. I have gained about 4lbs I exercise quite regularly. Am finding out gendet on friday cannot wait!!

Im 23 weeks and think I finally just felt my baby for the first time tonight. I have been impatiently waiting to feel what everyone has been talking about for weeks. We are having a girl. I have been having some issues with itching feet and swollen feet already so I am on a medication for the itching and drinking lots of water and keeping my feet up. Im in Texas so we are already in the 90's and the swelling will likely only get worse. I have my next OBGYN appt on June 19. They will be doing a gestational diabetes test. I am moving next week, 4 hours away from where I live now, so I had to find a new doctor. I hope I like her....fingers crossed.Im really ready to get settled and set up the babies room and my home. Lots of work to do and I am anxious to get started!

Feeling good can't complain. 24 weeks tomorrow & my first baby shower is on Saturday! I'm sooooo excited.

No nausea just still tired and hungry :/ I've gained only 6 pounds so far, hoping I didn't gain anymore too fast by my next appointment next Tuesday. My cravings are tough though, I'm trying really hard to eat healthy majority of the time and continue to go to the gym.

Even though people say I'm still barely showing! I only really started to get a bump.

I can now see my stomach thump when baby girl kicks and it's so amusing to me.

Hi ladies, sounds like everyone is doing pretty well here - that's great news. Ikle, don't worry about the weight gain, the rest of us will catch up to you and you'll have 2 to run after, should help you drop them quickly!

I've gained about 5 as I've kept working out lots. Last week I tore my inner thigh muscle (adductor) in kick boxing class. Instructor did a weird side lunge stretch at the end of class that I should have known my body wouldn't like. It felt like I was kicked in the groin after I did that one, you'd think something in the class would get me but nope, just a stretch (not even a good story to tell:haha:)So had a massage and then got sick Friday, took Monday off but now my throat is so dry I'm hacking. Think I'll take tomorrow off too. When it rains it pours I guess? Other than that baby has been quite active for the past week. I think it's a boy but we're staying team yellow. Midwife & OB appointments are next week. I'm high risk as I'm on blood thinners so they track me a little more closely here. I don't think blood thinners should constitute high risk until delivery but hey, I'll go with the flow!

I'm 22+2 with #1.

Nausea eased up a lot around 16w, I haven't been sick since and I only feel icky when I need to eat. My pulse and blood pressure are good, bp has always been ok but my pulse was over 100 at one point, it's back down to 86 so that's good!

I have been really busy this week and doing a tonne of walking, so had horrible stitch like pain at the bottom of my bump - I think it is round ligament pain but it can be really intense at times! Also got back pain.

I had a horrible migraine with aura for the first time ever a fortnight ago which was terrifying so I am hoping that isn't a new thing starting.

I have had some heartburn which eases when I take the powdery pills. It's horrible when it happens but I can deal with it as it responds fast to the tablets.

Cravings wise, tomato sauce! I don't normally eat it at all! So strange. Luckily I am only having it with appropriate foods, not with everything (yet)

Baby is quite active and her daddy felt her kick for the first time when I was exactly 22w. I have been feeling her internally since 16w and externally since about 20.

I have gained around 7lb which I'm happy with.

Woke at 3.45 this morning, could not get back to sleep! I watched OBEM USA instead of something relaxing, needless to say I stayed awake to watch the whole thing!
Finally dozed back to sleep at 4.50 only for my darling Son to wake me at 5.10! Yawn!!!!

I'm sitting here at work and for the first time feeling a bit 'wobblier' than normal which is totally expected as i've just not tried as hard as I could of lately.

How are we all today? I'm 23 weeks exactly today!

I'm feeling pretty good now. I had terrible backache about a month ago but it seems to have subsided. I'm not so ravenous any more which is good as I've already but on over a stone. I'm feeling regular kicking and wonder if this baby will stay breech like my last.

oh and I've totally got nesting already. Got massively excited over my new cordless vacuum.

Morning everyone,

I made an appointment with my osteo for Tuesday as my left hip is feeling a bit unstable first thing in the morning on occasion...and the back of my hip is achey. Fingers crossed she sorts me out again!!

Also been suffering with elephant feet and sausage fingers this week...to the extent that our CEO has ordered multiple air conditioning units for the office as I moaned to him at a team night out ha ha

How is everyone else doing? I'm so glad its the weekend and I can put my feet up!!

My day started off rather sluggish, even went back to bed for a little snooze at 9 but DS didn't let me stay there for long, think i had 5 mins if that! Trouble was I got up feeling like I just wanted sugar so eat 4 mahoosive cookies!

I felt rubbish after that but hubby took DS swimming and I made up for it by hoovering all the carpets, washing all the floors and now i'm on my 2nd load of washing.

Phew! Feet up time :)
