hi there i Will be having a 4d scan done when im 25 weeks do people think this is too early, my hospital that does them used to do them from 27 weeks but they said they had had complaints that you couldn't see baby properly, opinions wanted thanks x x

That's weird that they said you couldn't see it properly...my doctor has a 3d machine and did a sneak peek for us at our 20 week ultrasound and it was great...you could see all the facial details just fine. 25 weeks sounds pretty good because she will have a lot of her baby fat by then. If you are more curious, search "25 weeks 3d ultrasound" on YouTube or google and you can get a better idea of what to expect.

im going to get mine at 28 weeks because thats when everyone else I know had them, all their pics are clear and want to make sure I can see all her lil features. Personally I wouldnt do it any earlier just because its a lot of money and I have no idea what a 4d scan looks like at 25 weeks.

My doctor recommends do do a 4D scan between 24 weeks and 28 weeks. I had a guy at work get one at 32 weeks and his little girl was all squished and they couldnt really see anything. I think earlier is better. I am planning on getting mine around 25 weeks as well!

I'm getting one next week at 24 wks. We were told to do it between 24-25 wks b/c we have a anterior placenta and the view will be blocked as everything grows.

I'm getting mine done when I will be 26 weeks. Some people say the baby still looks weird looking at 24 weeks because they don't have much fat on them. It's better to go before 28 weeks though so you still get to see lots of the baby.

We were also told 24-25 weeks due to anterior placenta.

I had my 4d scan with my daughter at 26 weeks & it was amazing so I don't think 25 weeks will be to early or majorly different tbh :) xx

Hi i had a 4d free view scan at 16 weeks, we where lucky couldn't believe how clear it was... Think we're having another one later on too xx

We have booked ours for 29/30 weeks, which was what the dr said was the yes time to do it? however, he said they do them from 22weeks onwards, they did do them earlier but they changed it because people were saying they weren't clear enough, but he said anything from 25/26 weeks onwards is better because you can see a lot more defined features.

If I'm honest though i think it depends on the circumstances, like with normal 2d scans, sometimes they're really clear and sometimes not, I've heard loads of people saying different times to have the 4d scans done, but personally i think 25weeks isn't too early, considering that some places offer 4d scans from 16weeks :) - enjoy it! :D x x x x

That's amazing, and really clear! :D your so lucky! we went to a private gender scan last night and i was really hoping he would switch to 4d for us to have a sneek peek but no luck! - we've booked a 4d scan for the end of Aug though! i think its amazing that you can see your baby before they're even born! amazing picture! :) x
