Hello Everyone!
I'm 26 y.o. TTC #1 w/ Metformin (500 mg twice daily) and progesterone (1 tablet twice daily for 5 days) this month because I haven't had a period in 6 weeks. I'm not seeing an infertility specialist but I'm supposed to follow up with my OB GYN on CD 7 (with the first day of spotting being considered CD 1).
I have a known history of PCOS with 2 prior failed IVF cycles. I'll NEVER do IVF again because of the financial burden and emotional stress. Also, a couple years ago (when I completed the failed IVF cycles) I didn't have monthly bleeding. However, with an approximate 40 pound weight loss I am bleeding erratically and it is infertile bleeding. Hence, my plan is to induce a period, have an ultrasound, complete CD 21 blood work and then start clomid next month. Although, I'll be starting clomid and controlling my diet and increasing my exercise.
I joined the website looking for people who have PCOS and are trying to conceive & who want to form a support network. I've traveled this infertility pathway before and I fully appreciate how important social support is so I'd love to get the ball rolling by being proactive.
