Any updates ladies?

I am 33 weeks today and getting very anxious. Having an ultrasound on weds next week to check baby's growth since I have gestational diabetes. Can't wait to see how she's doing in there.

Had my appt, consultant did a sweep and booked induction for Sunday morning (my birthday! Lol) think things might be happening since the sweep but we'll see!

She's here! Born 23rd August at 20:47 after a 28 minute labour! She was very nearly born on the antenatal ward things happened that fast! 7lb15oz of perfection definitely the best birthday present I could ask for xx

well i went in to be induced at 10am, 24hr pessary was inserted at 11.30am. After walking around the hospital for hours and not progressing at all (no pains or anything) we went back up to the antenatal ward and i sat and bounced on a birth ball for abit. Sat there chatting to hubby saying it won't be tonight, he should get ready to go home and i'd see him tomorrow. next thing i know my water breaks in a huge gush and pains started right away. Rang the call bell, midwives came rushing over and i felt the urge to push so they bundled me onto the bed and rushed me to delivery suite. Once in there i was checked and declared 5cm. They gave me gas and air to calm me down, told me i still had a while to go and i couldn't push. The urge was still there, i couldn't stop the feeling and fifteen minutes later she was born! She had a few problems with her temp as her cord slipped over her neck as she came out so fast but was fine after a cuddle and a heat lamp! I went into shock, my pulse was very low and i needed oxygen but was fine after a couple hours. Definitely a birthday to remember

thanks for sharing! I was just told I"m scheduled to be induced on 9/4, the day before my birthday. I'll take your quick labor LOL

Really hope I'm far longer in labour lol, I'd not even make I to the hospital let alone have a c-sec in that time lol. Well done Ella

Congrats Ella! Thats quite the birth story. Sure hope if I go into labor mine does not progress that fast. LOL! cutie good luck to you!!

AFM: Had a specialist appointment yesterday due to my gestational diabetes and was told via ultrasound that LO weighs about 5 pounds and is in the 48th percentile which is good! They told me that if at 37 weeks she weighs 8 pounds or more that we will do c section at 38 weeks otherwise 39 weeks it is! I am so anxious and cant wait. Next week they are doing a BPP (bio physical profile) and every week after I think. Anyhow thats all for now!

Anyone got any tricks to help with swelling, for the first time this morning I woke up with my feet like balloons n very sore my hands have been doing it a couple of days but tend to go down during the day which I'm guessing my feet will but its so uncomfortable .

Put your feet up and rest. How is your blood pressure? I would check it because swelling like that could be a sign of pre eclampsia.
