2WW, End of August/beginning of September testers!

Thank you!! It's from today. I made an impromptu visit to the ER this morning to check on my little one since I can't get into my OB til next month. All is well with Baby Powell nice strong heart rate of 167-170 (167 during the vag US and 170 during the regular one)

So glad Baby Powell is doing great. You guys must be over the moon, right?

OMG! Your US is amazing!! Have you showed family yet?

I've decided to stop "trying" until I get my HSG and more blood work done. Since the doctors say I'm ovulating after AF gets here, I figure its pretty much pointless to keep taking OPK's and getting my hopes up about the cycle. I go in Friday for my CD 21 lab, and then DH gets a semen analysis on Saturday. So hopefully we will know more next week!

Has anyone had to get an HSG yet (who has been TTC for over a year)?

I underwent a HSG test on Sep 30 .. Two days later I Oed so cud BD just once .. They tell not to BD after AF till HSG cud be done

How was it? I've heard everything from bad to good experiences, so I'm just interested in stories at this point to help calm my nerves. I'm such a control freak that it makes me nervous to think of all these people down there shooting dye into me.

I honestly don't even know when to BD at this point, since they think I O right after AF comes, and my OPK is catching O at CD 14. Everything seems so contradicting.

It wasn't so painful .. But it felt a bit uncomfortable throughout the procedure and afterwards felt a bit sore for 1 or 2 days .. They ask us not to BD before HSG .. I had the test done on CD9 .. The Obs/gyn straight away said that my tubes looked fine .. I did follicular study on CD10 and found a mature follicle but was feeling sore and skipped BD .. We dtd on CD11 and went back for scan on CD12 and found out that I had already ovulated .. And last night on 6DPO I did a home pregnancy test and I think I saw the faintest line .. I was squinting at it so hard finally I had cross eyes .. Hehe .. 9 days till AF is due so I know it's too early .. I had used more than a dozen tests during TTC and this is the first time I am even thinking that I see a line .. Will let u know what happens

Its gone very quiet on this thread! How is everyone gettin along? Mbrink did you get your test results? I am due to ovulate in a couple of days so we have our next lot of digi opks and we are gearing up for cycle 3... really would be lovely to know we have a brother or sister on the way for our little boy by Christmas. Be nice to hear how everyone is doing both pregnant and trying. Mbrink perhaps the thread needs a new name?

Hi! I was just thinking about this thread when I woke up this morning! lol This cycle was our first cycle of not trying. I am verry surprise at how easy I found it to just not temp or take opk or spend my free time obsessing about the dpo symtomps online! Everytime I said we would take it easy I always caved in! I guess when you set your mind to do something you can. I always hated people who said just stop trying because I found it impossible. I am now I think 10-12 dpo (not sure exactly but I think more 12 dpo). What have cut out on the urge to test this month is the fact that I did not get my hope's up with the : Oh according to my temp, opk and bd we did everything text book so this must be it - only to be dispointed yet again. This time I have no clue if we did it right so we are just waiting on AF! The fact that we have a FA apoitment at the end of the month also helped. We kinda accepted that we might need help!

I hope the rest of you are doing well and I can't wait to hear from you gals!

Hey lady! I'm glad there are still some out here in this thread, it kind of made my night!

This is our second cycle not trying, as well. We found out that I am ovulating, but DH has a LOW sperm count (900,000) with low motility and morphology. YIKES. We go the fertility specialist next month on the 14th. I'm getting so antsy for our appointment, but I'm nervous that they are going to give us some alternative that we don't want. With his low sperm count I believe one of our only options would be to do IVF from what I've read. And I'm not opposed to it, either, because I am so exhausted from all the disappointment.

Have you done any blood work yet? This was our third month and it just now came about that DH had a low count. We never would have thought he was the issue, so its been a very emotional week to say the least.

Hi Mbrink! I think that if low sperm is the problem then thay do IUI before IVF...or mayby they might try pills first to see if thay get everything up. We are also seeing the FS the 31st of october and I can't wait to see! Our first test showed that I do O and husband sperm is good so I'm afraid that my problem could be blocked tubes or tilted uterus. It's nice to see that we are not alone. We seem to be fallowing the same path! lol I'll let you know what to expect from the FS. Keep on trying, it only takes one good swimmer

Were his other counts low? My DH only has 900,000 sperm from his last count, with everything else being extremely low as well (motility, morphology and they said the sperm looked "juvenile" with there being pinheads in the mix).We've been TTC for two years so it makes sense to us. We are hoping the infertility specialist will have some options for us.

We go to the infertility specialist in a week and a half! Starting to get nervous, I'm not sure what to expect. Some say they might try to get his levels up, and some say they might try to do IUI/IVF. Ugh!!

So exciting that you got a positive!! Have you been DTD? Woo hoo!

We went to see the fertility specialist yesterday so I though I could let you know what happened so you know what to expect when you go next week. First she went through our history and through the paperwork of test we has already done with our family doc (sperm analysis and blood work for me and graphics from here to show her ovulation). She did a kwick check up doing a vaginal swab and checking the ovaries. She cleared my husband for now and whe is sending me for day 21 and day 3 blood work. Whe is also sending me for a basic ultrasound between day 3 and 5 and a ultrasound between day 6 and 12 to check for blocked fallopian tube. All four test should be done by the end of november and then we will have another meeting with her to go over everything. Baseline is that at first look there is no reason for it taking so long so that is why I have to goo for the 2 ultrasound that could show hiden problems. I hope we are on our way to getting answers and being close to our bundle of joy (that kid better be cute and healthy when we manage to have him or her)!!! lol

Thank you so much for the update!! I didn't even realize you had an appt. this week! SO glad to hear that she already has you on a plan. I'm hoping mine is the same way. Were all of your tests prior to your appointment normal? I'm on the edge of my seat waiting for our appt. because my DH's sperm was awful the first time he did his SA. And I'm sure your baby will be ADORABLE!

Yep we dtd quite a bit! 3rd cycle trying 2nd cycle using cb digi opk. I can test from Monday with an early test I think im 10dpo then but I waited til late last time and took the arrival of af much better having only tested once and knowing it was a definite reliable result at that stage.... When is your next appoinment?

Everything was fine with my dh's sperm and for me, temperature confirmed ovulation so before we went in everything was fine and there should of had no reason for not working for 14 months. That is why she is sending me on test that could show non visible problem like blocked tubes. I'm sure everything will be fine and that they can give your dh's meds for the lil swimmers.
