3/5 engaged...how engaged am i??

Hi ladies

Had my 34 week appointment, she said baby is 3/5th engaged ...me being typical me I didn't ask her to elaborate on what she meant lol

So any ladies have an idea what it means??

Sorry I had no idea either but I found this extremely useful! I guess anything over 3/5 means baby is engaged.

Hopefully this will help, only problem is midwifes work in 2 ways.
5/5 being head fully engaged or 5/5 being head is pretty much free. It would be best to ask which way your midwife works, either way baby heading in right direction

Did she write anything about it in your notes?

Could mean either that 3/5 of baby's head is free, or 3/5 of the head is engaged.

Different midwives do it differently.

My midwife writes palp next to it. So for example she wrote in mine that I was 2/5 palpable which means she can feel 2/5 of baby's head still free, so 3/5 was engaged.

I'd ask her next time you see her.

I just looked over notes, it says 3/5 engaged... So is that quite abit engaged?? I've definitely noticed my bump is very low, changed shape
