I have had 3 miscarriages in 3 years and I always use condoms(not for the past 3 months ttc) and they always occur about 2 months in to the pregnancy. Is it possible I just can't carry a baby?

Well, I guess there is a really small chance that you cant, or more than likely,(as with most of us girlies here) you've just had really really crappy luck, hun. Have you been to your GP, are they going to do some tests on you now you've had your 3rd? It may be that a small dose of aspirin could solve your probs! FX its that!!Sorry to hear you've had 3, but you may get some answers now *hugs*

Hiya, so sorry to hear what you are going through.

Ok, so ive just seen that you are in the US so obviously your protocol will be a bit different from us girls here who get testing for free. In the UK you are entitled to testing after 3 mc's on the National Health Service.

There are a multitude of reasons why some women mc, some have medical conditions, some have physical conditions (probs with womb/ cervix, usually seen in later stage mc's) and some have just crap luck.

However, without going to see your doctor and asking for some help there is no way of knowing which it is. You should however, keep in mind that most problems can be fixed, and most of those, very easily.

I had the full testing done and in my case it turned out i had an underactive thyroid- and that was the reason for my mc's. Im now gonna be put on medication and im getting the go ahead ttc again.

I would also like to point out, contrary to the post above, that if you are found out to have a problem such as blood clotting ( i was supected of having this) the NHS does not just put you on aspirin only as studies have shown it is not effective on its own, but heparin/bloodthinning injections would have to be administered as well.

Re-current mc's is a terrible thing to have to go through but you have still every reason to believe you will have a baby but you should find out what the reasons, if any for your mc's.

Seeing as you are in the States id like to suggest getting a book by Dr Beer called 'is my body baby friendly?'. His clinic is run in Chicago and takes referrals from all over the world- they are that good! Here's a link to his website https://repro-med.net/info/cat.php

Please take good care and if you have any questions please feel free to ask. I wish you all the best, hun...:hugs:

If you dont have a Dr go and register with one asap and get an apmt pronto. Testing and appointments can take a while and you do not want to wait any longer that you have to ( i suspect?). Also, remember you have to take your partner with you too!

Apologies for the above post if its incorrect, my friend had 4mc's and her gp prescribed her aspirin, while they were testing, and she fell and carried to term, before she had all the tests, so granted if you do have a blood clotting problem this isnt just the only fix, but it worked for her.

I just wanted to add that no one will ever know if it helped your friend or not- she never had the tests. I was expressedly told NOT to ttc while doing the tests because of this reason- you cant do tests and as such will never know what is the problem- if any!

I am also aware that some GP's tell they're patients to use aspirin, mainly because many consider it to be of no harm to be on it. But because it has not been universally agreed as a ttc panacea many GP's are reluctant to prescribe it.

It could well be that your friend just had bad luck- i know, it sounds terrible, but there are women out there who several mc's, have tests and no reason is found. But as i said, we will never know. I am however glad that things went well for her in the end but i dont want people to start self-prescribing aspirin or not being aware of the conditions and treatments that are associated with mc's.

Anywhoo...no need to apologise for your post, i just wanted to clarify things thats all! :)

I am confused about why this has happened again, but plan to find out all i can so that next time, baby survives the journey. lots of love to everyone who has suffered too...xx

bless you i no how you feel, i would see about getting a GP and get some tests on the go i would say its your next step, for your own piece of mind xx

I just wanted to say sorry for your losses and I hope you find some answers. I know being from the US (I am as well) that test are expensive and they dont just give them out. You have to ask for them and pay for them..

Best of Luck to you :hugs:
