We went for our ultrasound today to determine if the embilico cord was still drapped around the babies neck and crossed over the chest. We had discovered this at 27 weeks when we had our 3D/4D ultrasound (see pics below) which was a major concern of mine that I mentioned to the OB/GYN.
Well, the embilico cord is nowhere near the babies neck now and is clear away and being blocked by the babies arms. (breathes a sigh of relief)
The tech then proceeded to take their measurements of the baby, starting with the head. Well, the diameter of the baby's head is above average and the circumference of the head is WAY above average. Could this force me to have a c-section?
The tech measured the baby at 35w5d even though I am technically 34w2d with a due date of May 16th. Estimated weight is 7.12lbs or higher. Will I go early? Could I be induced?
I'm a small girl... this scares the crap out of me!!! I was hoping for high 6 to mid 7's. Oh well... guess it will be a happy and healthy baby :>
The questions I guess I'll have to ask the OB/GYN on the 21st.
