We went for our ultrasound today to determine if the embilico cord was still drapped around the babies neck and crossed over the chest. We had discovered this at 27 weeks when we had our 3D/4D ultrasound (see pics below) which was a major concern of mine that I mentioned to the OB/GYN.

Well, the embilico cord is nowhere near the babies neck now :happydance: and is clear away and being blocked by the babies arms. :happydance: (breathes a sigh of relief)

The tech then proceeded to take their measurements of the baby, starting with the head. Well, the diameter of the baby's head is above average and the circumference of the head is WAY above average. :hissy: Could this force me to have a c-section?

The tech measured the baby at 35w5d even though I am technically 34w2d with a due date of May 16th. Estimated weight is 7.12lbs or higher. :hissy: Will I go early? Could I be induced?

I'm a small girl... this scares the crap out of me!!! I was hoping for high 6 to mid 7's. Oh well... guess it will be a happy and healthy baby :>

The questions I guess I'll have to ask the OB/GYN on the 21st.

great news about the cord hun!! not sure about the other stuff tho,but hope all is well and you wont need a section!!

not long now til we meet our babies:happydance:

excellent news about the cord, glad they were monitoring you for it!! i don't know any other answers though :happydance: xxx

Just a thought...
If the baby is now measuring at 35w6d even though I am technically 34w3d.. Will this change my due date?

Anybody know?

a week or 2 either way isn't it? and them scans are only as accurate as 1lbseither way from what i read as i was convinced id be the first person to push out a toddler! and that's what all the sites said.

as far as a big head... golly don't even get me thinking about that :o our baby measures along/just over the average line on every graph. appart from the head :o and the specialist scanner didn't seem too concerned when i said 'pushing the head out hurt the most' with past preg. i am SO scared. honestly that's all i member, the head hurting and begging them to pull the baby out! so the thought of a biggar head than normal :o :o but like i said the scanner didn't have any concerns which i thinks a good thing?

xXx

Im so pleased that the cord is out the way, wish i could answer the other questions sorry, all I know 2 weeks either way is fine and nothing to worry about, hope all goes well, take care :hugs: XX
