I thought they had passed a new bill that comes into effect Sept or Jan that you can be on your parents insurance until you are 26 regardless of student status? The law used to be that once you turn 18/19 you cannot be on your parents insurance unless you are a full time student, but they are finding that so many graduates can't find a job and are unable to get insurance, and thats why this bill has been passed.

Here is the link about that: https://www.whitehouse.gov/blog/2010/03/23/whats-health-care-bill.

If possible try to get insurance through Cobra through whichever parents job has insurance, that is what I have currently, and once open enrollment happens again I will be back on regular insurance, the baby is the only one who will have to get state insurance. Have your parents talk to the HR at their job about this.

Hmm, the HR at my dad's job said you MIGHT have to pay a little more but it wont be as much as cobra would be, I pay $400 right now through Cobra.

because you're pregnant, they will accept you. If your parents have a decent income it might just take a while. BUT if the doctors know you are in the process of getting approved for state, they will work with you.
