.

wow, thats brilliant :) well done for getting that one, and let us know how it goes :)

I did this during my first trimester and it was awful, I was still in the whole denial-phase though. All of the sudden I was pregnant and taking care of a baby and it totally freak me out! But I think if I was babysitting a newborn now, with some of my motherly instincts starting to kick in, it'd be sooo much better. I got lots of practice with diapers and bottles at least! I say it's worth it, gets you more confident around babies

Too bad we don't get paid to watch our own babies :laugh2:

Oh my god i have NEVER taken care of a newborn before [for more than twenty minutes], i would be so scared bout doing this. With my own bab its different, i wouldn't feel so bad if i accidentally dropped her!lol
Good for you though, i would be freaking out! And Elle Marie is such a cute name..xx

Awh, sounds like you really enjoyed it! & hey why not take care of a cute baby, get paid, and get to have some experience. :)
xx

Finally updating you all, haha!

I went yesterday and had a wonderful time. I helped watch her from 9-4. She's an awfully good baby and two months old. She just ate, went to the bathroom, and slept all day! It was so stress free. I got $6 an hour for doing very little work, too! The women I was helping watch her with said she'd be happy to have me come and help again (they're moving house, so she has a lot to get done as well.) so hopefully I'm able to go next week again.

Finn however was not such a fan of the baby. Every time I would set her on my bump or legs he would start kicking away at her! :haha:

We have a family member that has a 9 week old baby, and she is SUPER good, and every time I set her on my bump my lil girl will start kicking at her too! haha. I think she's jealous. But believe me, I'd much rather be holding and caring for MY little girl.
