4 days late - unusual discharge - when and if to test?

Hi all. I stopped taking Cilest on the 4th Feb. I had what I assumed was my withdrawal bleed from the 7th to the 12th, but it was 'different'. I'd already had a withdrawal bleed around 5 days before stopping the pill as I had my break, restarted taking it and we agreed to stop day 5 of the next packet.

Anyway, I then began doing ovulation test kits, and I had 4 positive results from the 17th to the 20th and my hubby and I had sex on the 14th and 18th.

When in the past I've stopped taking the pill, I've had the withdrawal bleed, and then a horrendous bleed and then periods here there and everywhere. However, since my last bleed (7th-12th) I've had nothing and am now 4 days late if going off what my cycle used to be.

I had some odd discharge that started on the 9th Feb, which I thought was my next bleed/period, but it stopped and was literally poo colour, and that week I just had literally spots of it now and then. I've no infection, or anything else weird.

My mood has been really swingy. I've ripped into my husband one minute and cried over nothing the next. Though we have just moved house too - so all this could also be due to stress. SO confused!

Is this just from coming off the pill do you think and my body trying to regulate itself and maye severe PMS, or do you think it may be worth taking a pregnancy test?

Just with the timings, the odd discharge, which falls into line with possible implantation bleeding since the dates seem to just work out right, I just don't know. But I don't want that disappointment either.

And, I haven't gone to day 25 in a cycle for years... so for me, I am late. Any advice/anyone similar/etc please reply. Huge thanks

My opinion is that your body is trying to adjust hormone wise... but if you aren't sure, take a test! GL !

Hi guys, ok so still no period, I'm knackered, and starving, peeing all the time. I did a pregnancy test 2 days ago and was negative. Spoke to my friend whose pregnant and a nurse and she recommended doing it. I don't know how long to wait to do another as this is getting weirder and weirder now.

My period was really weird for the first 4 months after I went off the pill, but I'd been on consistently for 10 years. Like 7 days between periods, then 17 days, then 11 days, until I finally got to 22 days. I've only been up to 28-day cycles for the last 4 cycles.

It's supposed to take a while for the hormones to get out of your system and for Mother Nature to take over again, but then a lot of ladies get a BFP their first month off BC. Fingers crossed for you!

Huge thanks - omg this is exactly how I was. I went 7 days and bled, then 13 days, and when it began being like a week between periods it was a joke. I was then put on Cilest. I was told by my specialist (I have a rare skin disorder) and my GP that it really does depend on woman to woman (obviously) how long it takes to get back to 'normal' but, was also told it can be immediate, as you've said, so hence my natural 'excitement'. Anyway, I came on on Saturday and now feel like poop lol.

Ah well, back to trying for next month! Thanks EVERYONE sincerely.
