Awesome! I do it on my own and have lost 19.8 lbs in 9 weeks :)

Hey everyone, make sure you let me know how long you have been trying.

Also I am making a new section so let me know what day you plan on testing and what day is your due date

NTNP for about 9 months. TTC going on 4 months. I am testing on October 4th. *fingers crossed*

Evening Ladies.

This is my first post...Eek!

Currently TTC for our first the last 18mths. Had my First fertility Appointment today and told that I may have POCS and that as my BMI is...wait for it...44 :sad2:

I will need to lose weight before I can start treatment. I knew this would be the case and Hospital staff were all really positive that I could lose the weight. They have also referred my DBF and me to a nutritionist to look at what they can do for us.

I start Slimming World on Monday and really enjoyed my first classes, apart for the horror of learning how heavy I really am!

It's great to have somewhere to speak to others going through the same experiences as all my friends have children or are pregnant and I find it hard to talk to them about this. I know they mean well and I love them to bits but only being it this position can you understand to heartbreak when you continually get a BFN on that test stick over and over again.

Keeping positive as at least I now have a real target to work towards and hoping the hard work will pay off in a BFP

xx

thats FANTASTIC!!! congrats!

Thank you I have been very serious about losing weight this time, especially before wedding :happydance: however this is also the first time I have been dieting without feeling like I am dieting.

I mean sometimes I do feel like it but only when I can't eat the whole piece of cheesecake or even the smallest piece of Tiramisu

Hey all!

I am currently TTC #1 with PCOS and overweight. Working on losing the extra weight. I'm down 17lbs (Woot!) but still have a lot to lose. It was a little over 8 months ago we decided to TTC but due to a heavy, prolonged period we were delayed getting started.

I'm hoping to lose weight to help myself with the TTC.

hiya I'm also a 'big gurl' lol ttc with pcos and loosing weight along the way hopefully

i haven't ovulated for about 14 months, i have lost a stone but still have alot more to go

i love the fact that this group exists so we can support eachother on this :hugs:

Hi Sweet Jennie! I love the picture of your cat!! Congrats on losing 17lbs. :happydance: I just joined the YMCA today and am going to try and work out every other day AT LEAST.

Welcome to the club!

I'm really sad to see Cedarwood be attacked and chased off a thread for having an opposing opinion. I thought everyone was allowed to speak their mind without being bullied or called names. I think her post made a lot of sense and if it wasn't the whole truth then it's at least a large part of the truth.

I have a BMI 31. I'm 190lbs and I am obese according to the guidelines. I exercise everyday, I overindulge in eating here and there but I eat tons of veggies and whole grains. I don't have high blood pressure, I'm strong and vibrant and I'm pretty cute to boot. I'm a happy person. But eventhough I think of myself as healthy I'm not at optimum health with a 31 BMI. We can all wave pom poms in the air and cheer eachother on but being obese is not healthy no matter how "healthy" you are.

It used to be that doctors would tell you that if you were even a tiny bit overweight you were in danger for health complications. They don't say that so severely anymore but let's not sugar coat it, being severely overweight/obese raises your chances of all kinds of illnesses and I think that's all that Cedarwood was trying to say.

By the way, being vegan does not make one automatically a healthy eater.

This group is for overweight women to get together and support each other while ttc it is not for people to be negative and put down other women. Please Please if u don't have something nice to say just keep it to yourself. Every overweight person out there knows that being overweight is not healthy we don't need to hear it anymore. Putting ourselves down and hating ourselves for being overweight will not make us healthier.

By the way please add be bunni I have been ttc for 2 months now I am currently 9or10dpo and will be testing Fri or Sat. I am tring for number3.

I think her attitude was the problem not her opposing views. She was very snarky with her responses and insulting at points.

Also insisting someone is not healthy(without true knowledge of the particular situation)when they say they are is in no way shape or form supportive which is what this thread and site is all about. It's actually very hurtful and counter-productive.

Anyhow, I want to say Bunni did an AWESOME job with the transition of the intro page. I am so glad we are here to cheer one another on and track our growth as a group!

WOOHOOO!!!

Baby wishes for MommyV and all those testing this week!

Well said!

My doctor flat out told me that your weight does not affect your chance of conception. Unless your weight is causing problems that interfere with your fertility (which it does not always do) you will be able to conceive with the same odds as anyone else....everyone in my family is overweight and nobody had any problems...but I have PCOS so therefore that is my issue, though my doctor told me that weight loss would not affect my chances ( I lost 15 lbs and nothing happened...she said it was good to lose it, but it wouldn't do anything...so why put in the extra effort?? i just decided to eat better and be slightly more active).
