and too right too hun, I completely agree with everything you said :hugs:

isn't it more unethical for them to judge us?

I particularly liked the part where you said about if your dr had a problem with you ttc then they would have said something. Mine has known me since I was about 8 years old and since I went to her about ttc she has put me on a weight management programme to help with my cycles, and said she would give me all the help that I needed in February once I'd monitored my cycles a bit ... but she's all for me going for it

So, I don't know if any of you have seen this thread, but I was really upset about it at first because I was certain bigger women were going to be attacked, but I'm actually quite happy with most of the comments

Thanks for this thread andella - I have to say I think you came across really well! It does sadden me the way obese people are treated sometimes. I couldn't resist replying - I hope it came across ok!!!!

Hope everyone is well, I'm ticking along nicely - waiting for AF to disappear so I can get on with making my February BFP :winkwink:

andella- im kinda afraid that when i go in there just going to tell me to diet and exercise more then come back in aftr awhile.thats seems to be every1s helpful hint...and i know that much already but the weight just doesnt go anywhere and just brings me down.... i have never looked at that thread because i didnt want to get more upset with what im already feeling so i stayed away. do people not think its hardenough on some people just gaining the weight then to say u cant get pregnant because ure "bigger"

Little Bit is celebrating the 5-week mark by... bringing on the morning sickness in the actual morning! It's mostly gone now, and I've chugged a big glass of water, eaten oatmeal for breakfast, and taken my prenatal  So exciting to see the growth according to the tickers!!!!

I am overweight (not massively) and I think is effecting me, well thats what some people say!
And there is my friend size 24-26 with 3 kids aged 5,3 and 1 and is due to give birth soon!

IS IT FAIR - NO!

I'm pretty sure I felt my LO wriggling around this morning! :cloud9:

I rolled over on my stomach & felt all kinds of muffled movement about 2 inches below my belly button. It lasted for about a minute & then stopped. Sooooo weird and creepy and awesome all the the same time. :haha:

The place where I worked, I was actually a weight loss counselor, and we'd go through people's diets and find things that could be tweaked if necessary. What it really usually boils down to, though, is what is holding us back mentally. Every day I'd hear people's excuses and the key is finding out which excuses are just "excuses" and which ones are "reasons" that actually need to be addressed. Like with me, I have ADHD and am very impulsive and have little patience, and things like keeping food journals and even cooking are extremely hard. So hopefully wherever they send you they'll help on the mental/emotional side of things and be supportive.

As for the thread I linked to, most people on it were actually quite nice and supportive. I initially was really offended and freaked out, but there were so many ladies that were also disturbed by the topic that it made me feel better. I need to try to avoid reading that though, because they hurt my feelings.

I hate it when I have somethng I want to say, but no one else has written anything, so I have like, three posts in a row....

anyway, just have to get this out. i was looking at the siggy request section and people kept posting pics of their adorable babies to have them in their signatures, and it made me so sad! I want a cute little babies!

and off topic again but my parents and dh's mom told me over the weekend that my son is getting too fat! what?!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=75Axfo5nTsYThis is him on Christmas Eve, throwing a tantrum because he wants to go see his aunt...he's not usually like this, I just recorded it to send to my sister to show her he loves her, lol.

Hey I am reading but I browse on my phone at weekend so not so easy to reply.

I dont think he is fat?! Looks fine to me honey.

I nearly puked this morning when brushing my teeth. I'm always like this before O so c'mon ovary give me a good one.

xxx

So excited for you both Little Spy and Starlit :-)

Don't worry andella - we love hearing from you :-)

AFM - had an appointment with my Dr yesterday, was a bit nervous as my usual Dr has left so had to see a new one. But she was lovely - really supportive of me TTC. She mentioned my weight but was really helpful and positive that I am doing well on my diet. She said that they wouldn't be able to refer me for fertility treatment at the weight I am, which I knew anyway, but she did say that if I did need Clomid then they would be able to prescribe it - which I'm pleased about. So my Day 21 progesterone is a bit low so she has referred me for a scan on Thursday to check for Polycystic Ovaries. She also suggested that we do a sperm analysis for DH, which he is happy to do - although did get a bit nervous about it when I mentioned it, bless him!

So I feel really positive that we are getting a bit of an MOT. Hopefuloly nothing will be wrong, but if it is then at least I know we have some options.

Wishing everyone a relaxing weekend xx

:hugs: so pleased your new dr is being really nice and supportive

I'm very excited at the moment, we're looking at going on holiday to turkey next year :happydance: Chris says if we save until december then we can book it for next september, and we can request a cot for the room if we need it

Thats great Emmy - I love having a holiday to look forward to :-)

We are going to Cyprus in May for DHs sister's wedding. We booked it a couple of weeks ago, so really looking forward to it now. Only downside is that there will be lots of friends and family there to wear my swimsuit infront of, LOL!! The diet continues!!!!!

yeah I hate wearing a swimsuit too ... though when we went to Turkey in 2009 I actually wore a bikini top under my vest, and sometimes felt confident enough to take my vest off

I'm using it as an extra incentive for my diet too  I had to use a seat belt extender last time we went, so am hoping that if I have to use one next year that it's because we've got a babba to take with us :happydance:

oooohhhh Cyprus will be amazing :D I bet you'll have a lovely time
