Other than that I'm feeling fine though, morning sickness shouldn't kick in for 2 more weeks or so says my doula friend

Don't you believe it! I got my bfp when I was 4+4 (that was before my first scan put me back 5 days) and my morning sickness kicked in the very next day - didn't end until 23 weeks!!!

I hope you don't suffer like I did, although it's helped me to lose 42lbs in total hahaha

Oooh. Okay... I'll keep my eyes open :haha: I'm 4+2 today...
I noticed today that when I was hungry I got a gross metallic taste in my mouth

Yeah I hated that. No matter what I ate I got a horrible aftertaste - yuck!!

When the sickness hits though, don't worry too much about what you eat as long as you actually manage to get something down you. For the first few weeks all I lived on was cornish pasties and haribo starmix hahahaha!!!

It's more important that you manage to eat something you fancy than not eating at all because you can't stomach healthy things - if you see what I mean?

If any of you are interested, I have posted my latest - and quite possibly last - bump pic on my thread "Any big momma's out there" (you can click the link at the bottom of my signature)

I have also put my previous 3 pics for comparison!

I definitely get that. And will keep it in mind.
I can feel the MS on it's way - nearly threw up this morning when brushing my teeth :nope: I would not be surprised if it hits tomorrow!

Oooooh Starlit, I must have missed your BFP! Congrats! x

Oh Starlit!! I am without internet for a few days and you go and get pregnant on me!!!! YES!!!! I am so thrilled for you!!!!!!!!!!!

I was wondering where you were! Glad you're back!!

Sooo.... I think my "morning" sickness is going to be evening sickness... felt queasy and dizzy between 5:30 and 6:30 yesterday

And we told TM's family! His sister freaked out, she's very excited to be an aunty :haha: His mom was happy, his aunty was a bit shocked, and his dad was very philosophical as per usual

Mine was in the late afternoon/evening (3ish-9ish) for the first several weeks. Then it kind of turned into an all the time deal for a few weeks. Then it turned into random waves of nausea deal & that's where it remains (though thankfully far less frequently than previously).

I'm really really ready for it to stop completely now though. :haha:

I had another bout of nausea (not yet at the throwing-up stage) today around 5:45 so... yeah... evening sickness so far  :dohh:
Hoping yours stops soon!

I lived in the bathroom from 5 weeks 'til almost 20 weeks at least before my sickness stopped :dohh: and it was pretty much all day, every day.
The GP put me on meds for it, and almost sent me to be admitted to hospital, but I inisisted I'd manage at home.

After that things got a bit better, and I got back to normal :happydance:
but now I've developed night sickness - I go to bed, lay down to sleep, and within the next hour or two I'm guarenteed to be hugging he porcelain. :nope:

Anyway, I think the point of this post was - Love your nausea, it means there's a baby growing in there! :cloud9:
Hope you don't ever get the actual vomiting bit though! x

Hey all - glad all the pregnancies are going well, have you stopped smiling yet Starlit?!! :-)

Sorry for my pity party the other day - TTC can get a bit overwhelming at times can't it?!! AF has arrived, but I'm feeling so much better about it. Went to church on Sunday, and it really helped to put things into perspective - I'm still going to enjoy my life, TTC is just an extra.

I've lost 6lbs this week too - woohoo! I feel like I'm being proactive and positive and I like it :-)

Baby dust to all the TTC girls xxx

I decided two days after the BFP that if I want to be like my favourite mommy blogger Kelle Hampton (a girl who almost always sees the silver lining without seeing the cloud AT ALL), I'd take all the uncomfortable parts of being pregnant and love each one. Backache, tummy pains, nausea, and all.

No, LaraJJ, I have not stopped smiling yet :happydance: :cloud9: :cloud9:

Congrats on losing 6lb honey.

Erm. I lost a measly one lb this week! Lol. Hoping for 4lbs this week. Then just one last stone and I will no longer be obese just over weight and ivf ready!

Xxx

Still so happy for you! But, I think, every pregnant woman has the right to complain if she wants. (I realize that a lot of women who are struggling TTC don't like it, but I won't begrudge anyone that right!) So, if you do have one of those days when you need to moan, you can do it to me!

As for me, my hormones are apparently running crazy (due to the stupid ovarian cysts?) because I have huge tender boobs, am emotional, extremely fatigued, peeing all of the time, and constant nausea...just like when pregnant with my son. I actually did take a $ tree test today, and could swear there's a pink line, but I'm just a bit crazy...didn't notice the line until it was dry, and then after spending about 20 minutes turning it every which way and standing in about five different shades of light, I actually dropped some more pee on it to see if I'd still get a pink line. Not an indent, just a faint line of trickery. I'm only on CD 8 (so I haven't even ovulated yet!!!) So tempted to buy a test before work today, but only have time to go to Family Dollar, and they only have blue dye. Just for fun, of course, lol.

I don't think I could begrudge anyone the right to moan either ... at the end of the day regardless of whether we've been there ourselves or not, we don't know what's happening, how severe the sickness is, or the cramps, or whatever it is they feel the need to have a little moan about, so how could we judge someone because of their little rants if they feel the need to. Yeah I'd love to be pregnant, but I wouldn't begrudge anyone having a little moan ...

Ahhhh sorry I didn't mean to go off on one there , I just completely agreed with what you're saying andella

Oh darlings I'm sure I will be complaining at some point :haha: :hugs: Thanks for the permission, too :haha: But my basic outlook on the whole thing is that it is a gift - so complaints might not sound like complaints :winkwink:

Thanks hun :-) I'm really pleased, especially cos I feel like I'm eating LOADS - and I'm having chocolate every day - yum! I'm doing Slimming World and I really like it - just gotta stick with it now! I even did my exercise DVD yesterday too, don't know what's come over me, LOL!!

Well done on your 1lbs loss - a loss is a loss and they all add up. Keep at it - a stone is nothing, you can do it :-)

I am doing SW too!! It's fab isnt it.

I stopped for a couple of months in summer and only put 4lbs on (less than I did over xmas) so it shows its teaches you good eating habits so easier to maintain!!

Keep it up!!!

xxxx

So what is slimming world? I assume its a weight loss program over there, I just wondered what it's about, because I hear about it a lot on here.

It's a bit like Weight Watchers, they do classes and provide support etc.
