My mum has done so much for my bf and I recently and now thinking of her christmas present it just feels like it is rubbish and not good enough. I am seeing her Saturday, and am stuck at home barely able to walk so can't go and buy her anything else

Feel like such a rubbish daughter

If your mum is as supportive as she sounds, I really don't think she will mind and that she will understand that you are not up and about.

Make it up to her when you are able to if it makes you feel better, but for now rest safe in the knowledge that she will more than likely be grateful for whatever you have got for her :hugs:

im sure she understands you could always ring the local florist and order a bunch of flowers for her x

Aww hun i'm sure your mum will understand

how about you and her getting a takeaway or something and spending some time together, maybe watch a christmas film.

i'm sure she would love that as much as any present xxx

Thanks for the suggestion of flowers. I am about to order a bunch to be delivered on christmas eve.

I have just been trying to come up with a message to go with them. How does this sound:

To Mum

Thank you for everything over
the last few months. I
couldn't ask for a better role
model as a mum. You help and
support means the world to me.

Love
Sian xxx

I think she'd be absolutely thrilled with that... the flowers were a really good suggestion, she'll love it :D

Unfortuntely she lives a 50 minute train journey away and I can't walk to the train station at the moment. I am seeing her Saturday and then she is coming over Monday with my brother and his wife for Lunch so will be spending time with her (also spent two Saturday nights at her recently)

here is a picture of the flowers I have ordered

the description was:
A traditional bouquet created with bold red Asiatic Lilies, crimson Carnations and white spray Carnations.

Beautifully framed with deep green Ruscus leaf, white Gypsophila and glittery gold Birch stems, it makes a real Christmas treat!

I have ordered them to be delivered on christmas eve.

Thanks for your support, feel much happier now I know she will get her flowers too.:flower:

They are gorgeous, I'm sure that as a mum knowing that you daughter loves and appreciates you is pretty special on it's own

The flowers are lovely, really Christmassy as well. I'm sure she'll absolutely love them :)

i bet she will love those flowers they are beautiful......im sure ur mum will tell u (like mine does to me) that is ur job to support u and will understand. Maybe write her a lovely poem or letter thanking her, im sure that means so much more to her than what u can buy in shops :D

Aww the flowers are gorgeous. I love red lilies (can you tell :))
I'm sure she will love them and it shows you've put some thought into it

Them flowers are gorgeous, like everybody else has said something sentimental and meaningful like your message in the flowers and maybe a poem will mean so much more to your mum.
I was worried about getting my mum something this year, so instead of tons of makeup and beauty kits and perfume I just got her a solid silver bracelet as she has recently lost 5 solid silver bangles which she has had for 30 years from her grandma, so hopefully that will be really meaningful to my mum
plus :) mums are always on about how we didn't need to get them anything and how they are sposed to be there for us :p
i'm sure she'll love them flowers! xxx
