5 strong embies day 2 - is this any good?

Hello!

wonder if you experienced ladies can help.. esp those with a BFP?!

I had 16 eggs collected, 14 mature. Called day 1 to tell me 9 had fertilised, on day 2 now and I have 7 altogether but 5 strong. I am really worried at the rate they are dropping off and really wanted to get to blastocyst... something tells me at this rate I won't!!

I was asking the lovely embryologist... is this ok? is this bad? and she said it is "fine"... but wonder if she is being polite.

Be great if some of you can let me know your experiences and what you think (honestly). I did not even think about this stage, I am a nervous wreck!!! I have a feeling I will have ET tomorrow, I am glad to get past day 2 but wanted to see if you lovely ladies may share your own experiences?xxx

That's very good I had 18 good embryos from 32 eggs I did have to stop which ment mine had to be frozen for 3months and I lost 5 when they were taken out the first time but did get a bfp then I lost the rest apart from 3 the second time I went for a embryo transfer last month but once again we got a bfp but sadly mc 3 weeks ago I'm due to start again around the 19 april but in a short cycle so I no I won't be getting as many eggs this time but that don't matter as u only need one good strong embryo.

I was at H&E. The 2 cycles that I had that went ahead only had 6 eggs in total. I think I had less than 5 going strong on day 2 both times. Both cycles resulted in a BFP (sadly first was a chemical but now I am nearly 11 weeks pregnant). My successful cycle was a 3 day transfer but I think you have a good chance of going to blasto stage as they will go to blasto stage if 3 or more are still strong tomorrow (which may well happen!). Don't worry if not though - 3 day transfers do work! Good luck hun x

Congrats on your bfp... Fabulous! I got to transfer yesterday and told that I had one strong one, nit at blast stage yet but morula moving into early blast... Was so upset! Threw me a little and now realize it may not have liked being in the lab and pray at it prefers being inside me and will grow as it should, they said it could be a slow grower but they can't tell. This is my first cycle and must admit, I didn't find the transfer very comforting, I has Daniel do my transfer, he was not very forthcoming and very kittle detail given... Made me feel worse!

I guess I can't do anymore but hope for the best and think about plan b!

I researched online and found loads of success stories for early blasts . My friend is pregnant with an early blast . I had a morula and an early blast put in first time round and got bfp . You honestly have a good chance . Some ladies have got their bfp with average embies on day 3 . Keep up that pma as you have a good chance of a bfp soon !

Had a 3-day transfer of one 8-cell embie & as you can see from my ticker it worked!!!

My other 2 embies were both slow growers (one was really slow) but they both made it to blast on day 6 & were of good quality then & were frozen. So the slow-growers can still make good embies!!!

Thanks hon... my other ones didnt make it... just wonder whether this little one did but rubbing my belly and telling it to stay with mummy... if it doesnt then maybe this one isnt my time. Spoke to the clinic yesterday who confirmed it as an early blast... but anything can happen eh?! Now 3 days post 5 days and getting nervous, trying not to dwell on each twinge but feel like i do a week before my period Can't change the outcome but just wish wish my first could work - my husband taking it all quite badly - I want this to work for him so much.

Lots of luck to you; and I'll just add that I felt EXACTLY like I was going to take my period & I got a bfp! I htink most people do feel like that!!!
