6+4 days pregnant and miscarriage yet 100,000+ HCG levels?

Hi all, i had what appeared to be a miscarriage in early hours of Monday morning. An awful lot of bleeding - i couldn't get off the toilet as was dripping down leg etc (sorry for graphics) for about 30 mins. Some big blood clots came out (50p piece size) and then what i thought was the sac - abit like a triangular shaped parcel that had an almost serrated edge on one of its points. Some shooting pains too. This happend at 2:30 - 3am on Monday morning. Finally saw a doc at 10am on Monday morning who said it sounded very much like a miscarriage but took blood tests. Hospital called yesterday (Weds evening at 6pm) to say my HCG levels were 100,000+ and they believe I could still be pregnant and want me to go in for a scan tomorrow, Thursday 20th January.

Is it possible I could still be pregnant? Just can't believe it after seeing that sac in my hand. Or is it poss I could have been carrying twins and miscarried one of them? Has anyone else had an experience like this? My partner and I are really spun out by all of this. Any reply very gratefully received. Best wishes and luck to all on here...

im sorry hun, i know your worry im almost in the same boat, been spotting bright red for a week but no pain and only a small clot every 2 days. I think its just going to be a waiting game for you. The HCG levels usually arent that high after a miscarriage so i think you may have a good chance! Good luck and keep us posted!

My mum had severe cramping,bleeding and clotting when pregnant and was told she was miscarrying.26 years later I'm telling u the story so it's not always what it seems to be hun,it could definitely be a a twin that u were seeing,praying u have a healthy bubba in there tomorrow xx

It's VERY possible that you lost a twin - a friend of mine had the same thing happen, went in for blood work and her HcG was rising!

Thanks everyone for your responses. It's so weird and spinning us out alot. My tummy was getting really big and filling out just under my boobs (weirdly) but has now gone down. Although today I am feeling physically not quite right and quite spaced-out, almost as if i cld still be pregnant. I guess i'll find out tomorrow morning, only one more sleep to go. I'll write more tomorrow and give you an update. Thanks all x

I had a red bleed at 9 weeks, with loss of a twin and then spotted for month.
