6 week check

Just wondering what happened at your 6 week check. Had mine on Monday and I'm sure it should have involved more than it did.....

Mine wasn't really worth the the wait in the Drs!

The dr just basically asked how I was feeling and had I thought about contraception, it was over in about 5 minutes

Yeah. That was pretty much mine. I was expecting a bit more to be honest...

The doctor checked my incision, asked about birth control, asked about breastfeeding, and took my blood pressure. Nothing too exciting!

My LO had her head measured, weight taken, hips and spine checked and her red reflex checked in her eyes - but that was because I was worried that one kept showing up white in photos, which can be a sign of a rare childhood cancer (horror!). One paediatric opthalmic evaluation later, it turned out to be nothing.

I was also asked about contraception and breastfeeding.

Nothing at all happened with/to me, it was to check the baby. Contraception is covered by the midwife after birth.

We talked about contraception, how I was feeling, PPD (I as at high risk as I have an anxiety disorder) and if I had stopped bleeding. They checked my stitches and that was about it!
