Hi Ladies,

It's been a while since I posted. I am now in the last few weeks of my pregnancy. My sixth baby will be born by c-section on the 14th of May at 39 weeks unless he or she decide to come before then.

I can not believe how quickly this pregnancy has flown by. I got my date Monday and it suddenly hit me that there will be another little person in our home in a couple of weeks. My two year old must be sensing a change is on the way as he has become very clingy with daddy. So now follows us both absolutely everywhere.

Feeling ok about the c-section at the moment but will probably be terrified by the 14th. My bladder was damaged during my fifth section. Recovery was quick and I have been problem free. Consultant doesn't seem too concerned about the sixth section as they are aware that my bladder is firmly attached to my womb and sits higher than usual so the main priority is to avoid it this time round.

They will enter via the same skin scar but aim to open the womb higher to avoid any further bladder damage. Going to have my tubes done this time round too so hoping all goes well.

Good luck to all you ladies having c-section in the near future. Hope all goes really well :) x

Oh hope all goes well got my date which is also the 14 so as long as they stay put they will have the same birthday :)

Thanks, hope yours goes well too. Can't believe this time next week I will have another little baby. Seen a 3 week old yesterday, oh my god she was tiny. Amazing how we forget how small babies actually can be.

Feeling very uncomfortable today, terrible leg cramps that I don't seem to be able to stop. they even cramp up when I try to walk. Hope this passes soon as it is driving me crazy!!

Good Luck, do you know what you are having?

I hope everything went well for you and that you are having lots of cuddles with your bubba right now.

Hi there.

Thanks for your email. I must say everything went amazingly well. There were no complications with the surgery. We had a little girl, 6lb 2oz born in the 14th, She is so beautiful. I am enjoying every minute. She is such a happy baby. Her older brothers and sister can't believe how small she is. They are very happy with her. I was discharged on the 16th so been home just over a week now.

I don't know how the surgeon managed to do it, but I felt great afterwards, no pain, no tenderness, no nothing. I had no choice but to take the painkillers while I was in hospital but stopped as soon as I got home.

Take care xx

wow a 6th c section, amazing to hear such positive stories....giving hope to those who face multiple c sections without being worried to death..congratulations......how are you feeling, ive had 2 sections, is it true what they say, you heal much quicker with multiple sections.....what was your pregnancy like? take care

Hi there.

Thanks, my pregnancy was a breeze. Of course, I had terrible morning sickness and heartburn and the usual discomfort you feel as the womb stretches but I had these with all my pregnancies. My little princess gave me know trouble at all. I put on just under 5kg during my pregnancy so because of lack of weight gain the midwifes were concerned but baby was a healthy weight. I always have a small, tidy bump so am very lucky really as this is not the case for everyone.

This time round, I have recovered so much quicker. But I had to deal with a damaged bladder last time. The surgeons were truly amazing. They did a fantastic job. I had very little pain afterwards and stopped taking the pain killers as soon as I left hospital.......40 hours after our little lady was delivered.

Don't take too much notice of the horror stories you can read on the net as people don't generally write about good experiences. They are usually the worst case stories and just one persons opinion. I know what it feels like to read them and feel worried to death. This time round, I had though about all that could happen/go wrong with another c-section in the first few weeks of my pregnancy and found myself stressed out, but then one morning I remember thinking.....stop being so stupid, be positive, keep busy and relax. Enjoy and take each day as it comes as being stressed doesn't help baby or my other children or partner. i know it is easier said than done but if you decide to have more little treasures please don't read the net and really enjoy every minute.

Life is way too short to be stressing out, the medical professional know what they are doing, they will always do everything they can for a positive outcome.

Are you try to conceive at the minute?

take care :) xx

Im due to have my 4th CS in November and I am freaking out about it! With my first it was an emergency CS and I ended up with a partial paralysis of the bowel(Im assuming because they needed to get him out quickly they were a bit more rough than with an elective?), that was scary! but with my last 2 sections they went really well, so theres really no reason why this one wont be fine as well! I will tke your approach and tell myself to stop being silly, and relax! :)

Congrats on your new bubba!
