Hi I have not read to the end of the replies, but I have RA and 2 healthy children. I was on MTX between my DD and DS but came off it to get pg. If you are TTC which I guess you are then no its not a good med.

Unfortunately we werent TTC and just got married, I got pregnant on honeymoon and I am on MTX, I am awaiting a termination and I am distraught. I want a 3rd baby and this is never something I would choose to do, but my Dr has basically gave me no option and said the baby would have severe deformities if it even made it that far. For the first time in my life I am wishing to m/c and save myself the heartbreak of a termination of a baby I want to keep :(

Omg Hun I am so sorry you have got to go through this. If you don't mind me asking how far are you xxxx

I would assume about 6 weeks as I waited for AF to show, thinking I was just late, then I was in denial I could be pregnant as we tried for year for DS and needed clomid in the end.

My last AF was the 27th June but it was a week earlier than usual and light so my Dr thinks maybe that wasnt AF either but my pg symptoms only started about a week ago so I think 6 weeks is about right, that would fit into our wedding night and the "oops" we had then :( So yes our own fault but we were married abroad and got the night to ourselves, alcohol included , you always think it wont happen to you esp as we had trouble conceiving. The worst part is the wait, I cant get seen for the initial app until the 18th Aug and our wedding party is the 20th so I will still be pg then and about 9 weeks by the time this is over :(

Avoid this med at all costs if you want a baby for now is my opinion. I am coming off it now. A baby is not in our plans at the moment but I was thinking later next year. Once you know there is life inside you though its hard to let that go.

I got ur message but have no idea how to reply, sorry!

God you are in the wars Hun, I'm defo keeping off it to tell you the truth I don't want to go go anything :(
But how do they know somthing is wrong with your baby xx

Dani I am so sorry you have been put in the place you are. I cannot imagine how heartbreaking it would be to have to go through something like that. My thoughts are with you.

I seen the gyno today. She was fantastic but her only answer about the JRA is that she doesn't think it wouldn't have caused the miscarriage. Obviously I'm not letting it be dropped at that. I intend on probing my Rheumatologists brain about that.

Id agree JRA wouldnt cause m/c, It can cause troubles conceiving as its auto immune but Im not sure how true that is either.

I took Clomid to get my son after 10 months TTC and no luck, being off meds 13 months and in pain by then I had to try something.

Sorry about the m/c.

My tests are fading fast so Im just waiting for nature now x

RA is definitely linked to recurrent mcs, especially early ones.

I have just been referred to a local recurrent miscarriage clinic & one of the things they are testing for is RA.

It may be worth seeing if there is a recurrent miscarriage clinic near you as they can give you the specialist help you deserve. xx

I have no info, but I wanted to say I am so deeply sorry. I went through one loss and I am devastated I can't imagine six :cry::cry:I wish you all the best for the future xoxoxox :hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs:

Sorry, I didnt know, my Dr and RA dr denied this. KMP with what they find as that is good info to have for the future, but at the same time sucks! GL and all the best. I hope they can help you x

After two miscarriages, it turned out I had a high ANA level (could be unknown autoimmune, lupus, or RA). Although Lupus and RA tests came back negative, my rheumatologist recommended taking baby aspirin everyday. I am not saying that fixed the problem and got me pregnant, but I stayed on the baby aspirin through the entire pregnancy and just stopped two weeks ago... I know it sounds oversimplified and it probably is, but I thought I would just mention it, since I will never quite know what made this pregnancy stick..

I also took baby aspirin later into my pregnancy, due to ******** growth. I make small babies, probably due to the RA. x

thankyou for both your comments, when did you start taking the asprin im just so confussed lol

oh it banned my word! ooops!

I think i was later on to increase the blood flow or something as they thought it was being restricted.

Im not sure but know a lot of ppl take it at the start to avoid m/c, its good if u have low progesterone but ud need tested for that as soon as pg to find out x

I started taking it as soon as I found out I was pregnant. Like I said, I will never know for sure, but Dr. said it couldn't hurt :)

Dani don't worry its blocked plenty of my swear words lOl

I just noticed congrats on the twin boys double trouble lol

It wasnt even a swear word, but used the wrong way would be offensive. It wasnt meant in that way though. Ooops
