6w3d ultrasound :(

Had an ultrasound today. By lmp I'm 6weeks 3days. Tech wouldn't let me see anything (which is ridiculous as it's MY body) so I don't know what was there, but when the doctor called with the results she said it's an abnormal pregnancy. She said at this point they didn't see what they were supposed to.

I only saw the screen for a second, but the sac was bigger than it was a week ago and there was something in it though I couldn't tell what.

I have another ultrasound in ten days. Not very hopeful. Doctor said I could schedule a D&C or have another ultrasound. I figure I'll decide what to so after the ultrasound.

Got an update from the doctor. She told me all they could see on the ultrasound was an empty sac. However, for that half a second the bitch of a tech let me see it there was something in it. And I saw all the pictures that were sent to the radiologist and there was only one of the sac. How can you make an accurate diagnosis off of one picture? The whole ultrasound didn't even take ten minutes. How can you be sure there is nothing in the sac when you don't spend time looking? If there is nothing in the sac there is nothing I can do about it, but I'd like to know every effort has been made to be sure there is nothing in it.

Anyway my next ultrasound is next Friday, March 7th.

I know a girl who was told the same, and when she went to the hospital to take the mistropol, she had one last US, and there was a little bean with it's heart beating away.
I'm surprised they were so certain, I was told at 6+4 not to be disappointed if theres still no HB because it's so early.
Miracles happen every day I really hope it's just too early!

are you in america?

in the uk they wont do ultrasounds before 7 weeks because its so easy to misdiagnose, although you should hear a heartbeat etc... at 6 weeks some people are just a little slow or the dates are a little off - try having a 7 or 8 week scan before getting stressed hun as it might just be a mistake
