Tristan had his eight week check and vaccinations yesterday.
He now weighs 12 pounds and 7 ounces and measures 53cm - so on the 75th percentile for both. The doctor said he was doing well.
He also had his vaccinations and did really well, he was a brave little boy.
I am still concerned about the fact that he prefers putting his head to the right and seems unwilling to move it to the left (he can do it but rarely chooses to), so I have made an appointment with the specialist whom we are seeing tomorrow. I am wondering if it is infant torticullos where the baby's neck is a bit weaker on one side after being squashed into a position in the womb - more common with bigger babies. Tristan was a big baby and my bump wasn't that big, so I am wondering if this is what it is. Apparantely they recommend exercises that you can do to encourage the baby to look the other way and build up the muscles.
