Just had the 8 week vacc this morning and it is horrible. I had to wait so long to be seen that I had to start breastfeeding LO and the nurse said I could continue while she gave the shots. But LO was crying his eyes out and kicking his legs. I do not think she was able to stick the second needle in properly when he was kicking beacuse Afterwards she said 'you should have held him, hes really strong'. Why did she not ask me that before she tried to stab him...?
I hope baby cannot develop problems from being stuck wrongly by the nurse?
Anyway 4 hours after the jabs he started screaming like crazy and would not nurse to calm down. He calms down when holding him after a while but we cannot put him down without him starting to scream again. I have now given him calpol for the pain and for now he's back to being my active boy lying down and playing and babbling. I hope this pain goes away quickly because I get so upset when he cries like that.
