A home for EVERYONE!

With my first they all of a sudden lost her heartbeat, couldn't find it on the monitor, so somebody pulled that emergency cord thing in the bathroom and my room filled with people FAST! I had to get on my hands and knees so they could attach a wire to her head. She was ok, I don't know why they couldn't find her heartbeat. I just thought gee... anybody ELSE in the hospital wanna see my privates, think we mighta missed a couple people. Sheesh. Then with my second they figured out during labor that she was face up so I had to get on my hands and knees AGAIN (seems to be preferred position for my body as it's also how I got pregnant this time! ha!). They were hoping that position would make her turn on her own. If not, they would have to turn her. I was like come oooooon baby, pleasssse turn! Thank goodness she did!

Anybody else with fun labor stories??

Wow. How scary! I'm pretty sure I got pregnant this time doggy style as well. I know that's how I got pregnant with my son. I'm just still amazed how long the sperm just hung out waiting for my egg though.

Patient little wormies!!! Thank goodness! I saw HisGrace took my advice way back when I was telling everybody that's the way to do it to get your BFP lol. She said she did and it worked!! So glad I could help lmao

That's the way to do it, I agree! Anyway, I gotta get this house picked up.. YOU NEED TO WORK, You're gonna get in trouble!

I'll be back later.

LOL I didnt find your motivation or mine Janelley but I am going to do at least half of my chores.

As for labor, didnt have any with my son. He was stubborn. Wouldnt flip so was born by C-section 8 days after he was due. Never had a single contraction. No complications with the C-section or healing for me.

As for my daughter, its a whole other story. I got a membrane sweep at 37 weeks and 5 days (it was the last Friday in April). Started having true contractions 2 days later but they were far apart. DH kept telling me that this baby girl needed to stay in until May. Well at 10 p.m. on May 1st, I started having contractions every 5 minutes for 70 minutes straight. Went to the hospital, only 4 cm dilated and 80% effaced. they said "Walk around. If you arent 5 cm dilated after an hour we'll send you home." Well they gave me some sleep aids and sent us home because nothing had changed. Well at 10 a.m. the next morning DH came to check on me and asked if we needed to go back now or wait 2 hours until after lunch. I said NOW! My contractions were strong and 2.5 minutes apart. Got to the hospital. DH went to make sure our friend who followed us knew how to put in the car seat and could watch our son. Well he came back in the room I told him they checked me and I was 8 cm dilated and 100% effaced. He freaked and asked what that meant. I said that the nurse said this baby would be here within 2 hours. He went out calling a few people to tell them the news. Well 70 minutes later my body said to push but they were still getting a dr. to come in the room. Finally the doctor broke my water (felt like a waterfall)and 16 minutes of hard pushing later my daughter was born.

Nicole did you have an epidural? I don't see how you ladies do it all natural. My Aunt popped out 7 kids!! One set of twins all natural.

I guess I'm just a wimp when it comes to labor. I've heard that when they induce you it's more painful than if you were to just go into labor naturally. But I'm admitting it, I'm a wimp. They say you forget that pain.. Pffft, yea right. I remember it well, but it was totally worth it. I look at my son and am amazed that my husband and I made him. It just boggles my brain!

No epidural. All natural. Yay. Ok, now I am seriously distracted. The 1990s version of The Three Musketeers is on!

Mnj..glad bd was fun and it didn't hurt..here's to more bd :) lol

Janelle..mm, those look amazing..I'm gonna have to try it lol

Army..thanks for sharing pictures of your pride and joys :)

Love hearing all the baby and labour stories. Hopefully one od these days I will be able to share my own story.

AFM..cervix was high and soft with lotion like cm this morning. This afternoon it is high, soft, and a mixture of just wet and lotion like cm this afternoon. Negative OPK. Today was the estimated o day but I guess it was wrong. I'll be happy when the end of the month comes just so that I know..

Eeeek epidural all the way! But the anathesiologist had to go for an emergency c section... so I got wait an extra hour and a half for my shot! And they didn't remember to turn down my pitocin so got some BAD contractions and had to ache and moan a lot before they remembered that 'doh we need to ramp this back a little since she's still waiting for her shot!' So of course I think of those contractions as how labor will be next time. Misery! Hoping not to induce... or at least avoid pitocin! Plus side, I went exactly as dr predicted... induced 2 am ish (had natural contractions that night too), he broke my water in the morning, then he came back at lunch time to deliver and I pushed less than 5 minutes!

Sooo..my last cycle was 63 days so maybe I'm not due to ovulate until Monday..damn irregular cycles

Wow those are some baby stories!!!

with my first i had this feeling the whole time the he was going to be a big boy and that there as no way he was coming out of my biscuit lol...kept telling the dr and they kept an eye on his weight but nope. my due date with him was Sept. 15th a week before my due date i went into labor but would not progress pass a one after a couple hours so they sent me home with sleep aid. i had contractions for a week straight before they decided to induce me but would not induce me still until after my due date. so on Sept 19th i went in at 7pm to be induced. they put the cervadil in and once again by morning i was having regular hard contractions. dr did not check me till well after noon!!! it was 2pm before she came in and after about 18hours of labor i was still only 1-2!!! i was dying. they did another ultrasound and joshua was actually transverse (due to him being big and me being short) so my dr said i could get pain killers and sleep aid take a rest from labor and have a csection later on...oh that didnt happen either bc they had a cancellation all of a sudden so at 2:20pm baby joshua II was born weighing in at 8lb 10oz and 20 3/4 inches. after that i knew better lol so with avarie it was a plan csection her due date was April 28th she was born April 18th at 8:22am weighing in 8lb 4oz 21 1/2 inches oh and when i went in to have her they hooked me up before surgery and the nurse goes do you feel those? i go what her stretching yeah..she goes not those are some pretty strong contractions you are having...lol i felt nothing! it was weird but dr did say if i was not scheduled that day that i would have gone into labor that day. then there was JAmison...oh my jamie...i had too much amniotic fluid with him, he was due on Sept 22 and was born on Sept 14th (my MIL bday not my choice! but that was the day my dr deliveried babies on ugh) anyways he was 8lb 11oz 21 1/2inches. i honestly really liked having plan csections knowing what day i would have them was great!

How has everyone's day been? i am haning in there...been doing chores...watched what to expect (janelle yes that was a sad part!) i really liked the movie!!!

still sore but i think i will be for a long time...well Josh has two interviews tomorrow!!! one for a maintenance job at a townhome complex at 10am then the other is at the wearhouse my brother works at at 1pm so we will see. FX

good luck with the interviews! I feel like crap and MIL agreed to watch Siena, so I am headed home in a few to sleep! Well may stare at the tv awhile first!

I love how the stories are all so different.

If I go into labor and they send me home with a sleep aid I'm going to freak out. Again, I'm a wimp!! I remember being 37 weeks and growling at my doctor begging him to induce me. He just laughed at me, but promised me if I didn't go into labor by my due date he would induce me. So, I'm hopeful he will induce me again rather then having to go days with hard contractions.

Hey Nicole, question! What is it like to have you membranes stripped? Is it painful?

((sadface)) feel better Libby. Do you think you've got a cold or it's hormones?

Just found out today that Amma and Papa are taking Samuel for the weekend. Can't argue with that.

Libby yay for a break get some good rest!!!!!

Janelle- oh its wonderful to see another set of grandparents as involved as my parents are with my kids! :hugs: now remember you gotta do the slow naughty dance!!! hehehehe

Jealous, Libby! I have a headache and sooo tired. Would kill to lay down right now! But nooooooo stuck at work for another hour and a half! Ugh... is it friday yet??

Wow Krissy u grow some big babies! Especially for being such a munchkin!

Aspe - I have good feelings about u too! Maybe u ALREADY ovulated and are in your 2ww! Hopefully that cervix stays high for the next 9 months or so! :-)

Misty, I've been thinking that about Aspe this entire time. But we'll see... Only time will tell..

Krissy, gotta get this fireplace DONE before we can do any of that. Hopefully it wont take nearly as long as last weekend.
