Pretty much what the title says. I am as big now as I was at about 35 weeks with baby #1. I have put on about the same amount of weight too. I am tall and thin...well was. People keep making kind comments, like almost done...hang in there momma your almost there... you must be due soon etc... When I tell them I am not due until mid september I hear things like wow, you must be having twins or what did you do swallow a watermelon... I realize folks are just trying to be nice. But I am a little concerned about my huge-ness. I made it out without stretch marks last time, I am sure I will have them soon this time. My back hurts. At this point in my last pregnancy I was tiny. If I hadn't had three ultrasounds I would swear I am having two.

It happens sometimes . I was as big at 14 weeks with this one as I was at 20 with my first . You show easier because your muscles and uterus already know how to stretch so there is less resistance .

don't let them bug you. Or don't answer them , big bumps are beautiful

I had a dr appt yesterday, and like you, at 22 weeks I look like I am about 34 or 35 weeks. I asked him about it, and he told me that each pregnancy it gets a little bit more difficult to carry the baby, because you don't have the muscles necessary to keep the baby tucked in. So instead of having a small, regular sized bump, we are carrying completely out in front of us. It causes more back and leg strain than it did the last time we were pregnant. He said each pregnancy gets easier to have the baby, but more difficult to carry the baby. Hope it helps ease your mind a little to know it's normal for a lot of women, I know it made me feel slightly better about myself.

Thank u for saying this I feel better now too... To the OP, girl I feel ya! I'm 24.5 weeks now and look full term. Here is a bump pic of me at 23 weeks, I am still 3 lbs under my weight at my fest prenatal appt so its ALL baby, dr even said she's was down with her feet up by my ribs already

I'm bigger now at 26 weeks than I was the day I delivered my son. I've got a pretty big bump going on. Every pregnancy is different. And every time you carry a child, the bump will usually pop more. This is my third. I'm huge. Don't let it bother you. :hugs:

I'm on my 5th pregnancy and am now 20w. People think that I am overdue lol. They literally tell me not to worry about being overdue :) and that LO will be here soon.

I'm in exactly the same boat as you (which is about to sink ha ha ha ;))

24 weeks and as big as I was with DD at 34 weeks. Getting annoying but well meaning comments every single day and feeling heavy and uncomfortable. Glad to hear it seems common and normal for second pregnancies but not looking forward to a hot summer!

Anyway now we know it's normal we can tell people that :)

my bump is HUGE and everyone thinks am due any day yet i tell them i still got about 13 weeks left they say wow are you having twins, im bigger now than i was at past term with my first who was born at 9lb 14oz

I have the opposite problem!

I'm 22 weeks, and to me my bump feels big! Before falling pregnant I was a small UK size 6 so carrying any extra weight feels odd to me.
But, I keep getting people making comments like 'wow, you don't look pregnant' or 'How is there a baby in there?'.

It worried me at first, getting me paranoid that wee peanut wasn't growing properly but I realise every pregancy is different & i've learnt to ignore it!
I'm sure bump will pop when it's ready to! Then i'll be wishing it was small again :haha:

Same here! And this baby is measuring 3 weeks ahead so I'm huge!!!

I'm learning from all of your unpleasant experiences...if a stranger comments, I won't tell them when I'm due, just smile and move on. Sounds like correcting them makes it worse!

you look great! Ignore all the crap people are saying

I've never seen a pregnant woman that wasn't gorgeous! Whether their bump is big or small being pregnant is the most beautiful thing ever :flower:

Ha. The FOB's ex made a criticizing comment one day about the size of my stomach. I snapped back and asked her when she planned on losing the baby weight from delivering her child 2 years ago.

My sister even got crappy with me because I made a comment one day on facebook about how people who have yet to lose their baby weight from years ago probably shouldn't criticize the size of a woman's bump while she's actually carrying a child and the response I got from her was "I guess you would rather the "skinny bitches" comment on your big belly hahaha face sister, it is past the "bump" stage"

I told her my point was proven. ;) Even she hasn't talked to me since!

I am feeling much better hearing from all the other big bumped mommas! Thank you :flower:
