Hey girls i am 4.5 weeks pregnant and for about the last week or so i have had quite an achy right shoulder and neck.
I know that a painful shoulder can be a sign of ectopic, but it is more of an ache than a pain.
Also in my first month of trying (i fell in second month) when in the 2WW i remember saying to my friend that i had an achy shoulder, so it isnt something that has recently developed, maybe just got a bit worse.

Has anyone else had this? how did it end?? Thanks girls

xxxx

Ectopic can specifically have shoulder TIP pain. Where abouts on your shoulder is the pain? Your shoulder tip is just about where your shoulder meets your arm bone at the top, not the muscle along the top people frequently massage.
Bearing in mind your necks sore too, I think it's just tension so find someone with strong hands and ask for some TLC :hugs:

Signs of ectopic which you would normally get way before shoulder tip pain is spotting (particularly purple colour like prune/grape juice) and one sided abdominal pain.

Hope your aches ease so you don't have to worry.

Thank you hun, yeah my shoulder pain feels more inside and towards my neck rather than shoulder tip pain. I havent had other symptoms, only a coupld of mild cramps, but i have had these on both sides and i think these are just the normal pregnancy cramps. No bleeding either. **Touch Wood to all of the above**

Thank you hun. I have my first doctors appointment on Monday too, so hopefully they can reassure me too... may even mean i get an early scan to double check?? One can hope i suppose lol. Was thinking about getting a private early scan so an NHS one would be great!!! lol

I dont know much about Ectopic but if your concerned it may be worth you getting yourself checked hunny. Hope everything is ok :hugs:

Sometimes Wind can cause shoulder and neck pain. I get it really badly at times.

Like the others have said, get yourself checked out xx

Doesn't sound like ectopic shoulder pain then :) but I hope the doctors can reassure you. Ectopics are fairly rare so it is most likely that all is going to go well with your pregnancy :hugs:

I also just remembered that I used to get a stiff neck every cycle around ov time and when I first fell pregnant - something about the increased estrogen makes it ache on the right side! Wierd. Cramps are normal too. I even had several worse than :af: but it was just my body going nuts having to stretch and grow.

Thanks girls, well i have my check in appointment at the doctors tomorrow anyway so will mention it to her then :-).... it has lasted a good few days now so i am not too worried as i thought with ectopic the other signs would be appearing by now.
