So, I've been reading up about various acupressure points that are meant to help induce labour, but does anyone have any success stories?

Update:
Everytime I do the point on the hand, my baby goes crazy!

No but have been looking at that too so interested to hear what people day!

I thought it was worth a try - something needs to keep me entertained for the next 3-5 weeks!

Ive been looking into this too as I have tried everything except castor oil which i aint so keen on! I did youtube it today and pushed a few points on my ankles and got a BH almost instantly - probably coincidence but did make me wonder. ..

with my first I had a thai accupressure massage. It was an hour long and was amazing and I went to dinner after and went into labor (about 2 hours after) labored through the night...nothing intense had my show at 10:30 the next morning and my son was born later that night at 12:07 a.m.

I di have an epidural which slowed things but I only pushed for 27 minutes. I figured if it didn't work that at least I got a decent deep massage out of it and not some lame prenatal massage where they barely touch you.

The woman who did mine also has put3 of my friends into labor. There is no guarantee but her track record is pretty good. I can't wait to go to her this time around...

Where does she live lol?
It's hard to find Thai massage without it being a brothel unfortunately. X

Lol. Cleveland, Ohio. I love this woman. Look for a homeopathic masseur and call and ask. You never know what you may find. Good luck

I've just been doing the point on the hand for a few minutes, and I don't know if its just coincidence, but baby seems to move quite a bit.

Could this mean it might be doing something to my uterus?

I searched on you tube and the person said not to do before your due date? Maybe that's just to cover themselves?

Yeah I think its just to cover themselves.
I'm full term today so if anything did actually happen, it would be ok :)

Im getting a massage booked, and a chiropractor appointment for the middle of my 38th week in the hopes that they can induce labour!

I hope this works....lol. Good luck ladies!!

I tried the leg ones the other night and got some painful contractions that night then they stopped in the morning

This is a new thing for me! Never heard of acupressure to induce labour!!
Now I'm obsessed and will definately be trying from next week!

Ladies, I'm having an accupressure massage tonight at 8pm to try and start things off. She has a really high success rate and the lady she treated on Monday went into labour almost immediately after. I will keep you all updated, I'll try and come on after the massage and let you know how I feel x

Josiejo: Good luck! I hope it works for you.... especially because I want it to work for me too!!!

Well, the lady has just left. It was very relaxing and I feel de-stressed. I did feel some contractions and tightenings during the massage, but nothing now. She said that if it works it will happen in the next 24 hours. Will keep everyone posted x
