I made a big casserole and accidentally put in a normal stock cube instead of a baby one... do you think it's okay to give my LO some of the casserole? He's 8 months...

I have always used Oxo or Knorr stock cubes, i didnt even know there were baby stock cubes.

Katie has always been fine with them, no probs at all.

Is he going to have a lot of the dish or is it just one portion for him? If you had made it especially for him I'd be inclined to make it a bigger dish by adding more water/tinned toms etc to try and reduce the overall salt content of each portion. If it is just one portion for him then I would worry this time and get some baby stock cubes for next time.

i just use the low salt adult stock cubes instead of baby ones x

If I am cooking a large pan of, say mince and vegetables, which would make over 10 adult portions of whatever I end up using it in (lasagne, cottage pie, pasta), I use 1/2 an Oxo cube. There's 2g of salt in 1 Oxo cube, so I figure half of that in such a big amount of food is fine, considering Adam wouldn't eat an adult portion in one go. I just don't like the taste of low-salt stock cubes.
