Hi ladies, :flower:
I'm just after some advice really, I have finally got around to buying a wedding album (2 and a half years late but it has taken me that long to find exactly what I want!) anyway, our photography package was just the photos with the disc and copyright, hence why I have had to buy my own album, problem is I am now really excited about putting it together, but I really want it to look professional, and I have no idea how other ladies albums are laid out, the order of the photgraphs for example? Are they just in the order of the day itself?
I have pics of all my bits and bobs - the dress, shoes, flowers, etc all of us getting ready, the car and getting to the venue, everyone turning up at the venue, signing the register, group pics, and then pics of the bits and bobs at the reception.
Also what sort of ratio do you have of colour, black and white, sepia and those pics where certain colours are picked out? Just a couple here and there amongst mainly colour or quite a few?
Who would have realised so much thought had to go into bunging a few pics into an album?
Thanks in advance!

I actually did my wedding album on Photobox. took me ages to get it right, but the end result was perfect.
I got a hardback personalised photo-book for a very good price.

My photographer was more of a reportage style, as we felt uncomfortable with too many 'posed' shots, and we also asked all our guests to send us a disc of their pics of our day, so we picked the best photos from thousands!!

This is our album if you want to see what order we (I ;)) put it in.

(may take a while to load)

We had 55 photos in our album (out of over 650!). They were in chronological order of the day and were a mix of colour/black white, it just depended on what ones we liked in what.

Thank you that helps alot, it's mainly been the order that's been bothering me, but able to at least make a start now, will probably be another 2 and a half years before its finished now! lol!

I got a photo album in with my package but I have recently bought the copy right and now have all my photos on a disk, I then went on to Boots and mad up my own album.

Hope you can view it

Oh my goodness R&G - stunning! (both your wedding and the pics/album!)

Thanks, I had great fun designing it and the boots website is dead easy to use and upload photos

Have fun

This order for an album is pretty standard:

bride getting ready, dress hung up (if photo was taken), shoes, flowers etc
any shots of bridal party before the wedding
any shots of groom and groomsmen before the wedding
shots of walking down aisle, vows, signing register and walking back down the aisle
posed shots of bride & groom, family shots etc
I then had some photos of the room layout and cutting the cake was the last one.

I also made an album up with photos that weren't included in the official album and added evening photos to that as my photographer wasn't there in the evening.

Hope that helps.
