My baby is 5 months almost and he has been EBf since birth I am planing on continuing until 6 months and will start weaning on solids but would also like to stop breastfeeding (ive had enough!) but really not sure how to do it- anyone stopped breastfeeding in conjunction with weaning on solids any advice would be really appreciated.

Drop one feed a week, this ought to prevent you from getting too much engorgement and will hopefully prevent mastitis. After a couple of weeks you will be alternating breast/formula/breast/formula/breast/formula and then you can finally cut more out so you are only breast feeding twice a day first and last thing. You may find you are happier to continue with just a bedtime breastfeed for a bit while your milk still lasts or you may continue to cut that out too. You could go a bit faster if you wanted by dropping one feed every three days but I'd reckon going slow is a bit more gentle for both of you.
