af due tomorrow, positive opk!

hey ladies,

so last cycle I had a positive opk on cd 23 after one week of brown spotting, af then started on cd 36.

this cycle I had brown spotting start on cd 23 and has lasted until yesterday cd34. I had today on cd35 gotten my first positive opk of the month! my cycles are normally around 35-36 days. surely I cant be ovulating this late, but why the positive opk?

If you read a packet for opks they say you can get positives just before AF so best to just test mid cycle.
