So that should make my test date around Dec 17th

Good Luck to everyone!!

great lines.. wish u all the best for ur bfp this month :)

Hi miriam,

I have to go for a HyCosy test when my periods finish. I had a HSG few weeks back but the GYN said I have to go for another test because they were not sure of something (So annoying). Anyways so thats why I cant start the clomid this month.

I wish you the best, Hope you get good results! x

ohh i see but dont worry everything ll b ok for u. i had a hsg this month aswell n it was all ok. but m wondering aren't hsg n hycosy same tests????
thanx for ur kind wishes hun :)
lots of babydust to ur way :dust:

Hi miriam,

Its funny you said that coz thats exactly what I was thinking when I read the HyCosy instruction/information sheet. The procedure seems near enough the same apart from the fact that they put water inside rather than dye. Also this examination is done to check that the womb is ok. Its not to check the tubes (I had the HSG to check the tubes and luckily it was fine).

I was quite upset when I realised that its like a HSG, even though HSG didn't really hurt apart from when they put the equipment in. I get really nervous with these kind of test. I get really nervouse and also find it kinda embarrassing especially when there is a male doctor.

I posted this in another thread but thought it might be helpful info for some of you here as well so I will post it again.

I have had positive results with clomid. I am 37 (and my husband is 41) and we are ttc #1 (neither of us have any children). We started ttc as soon as we got married a year and a half ago. Due to my really long cycles and our ages they started looking at infertility issues about 7 months ago. My cycles were 50-60 days apart and I would often bleed for 3-4 weeks straight. They did a bunch of testing. My progesterone tested low. A theory was that due to low progesterone my body wasn't getting the right signals about when to start and stop bleeding. I was given Provera (progesterone supplement) to kickstart my cycle. After the Provera I had 2 months of more regular cycles (about 30 days between, bleeding for a week). When the next cycle did not come when it should (and I was testing bfn) they decided to try clomid. I took Provera first to force cd1 and I took 50mg of Clomid from day 3 -7. We then did follicle tracking to see how things were progressing. The first day I went in for tracking (on a Friday) they said I had two follicles that looked promising and that that they expected I should ovulate by the time I came in for the next appointment (Monday). When I went in Monday nothing had happened. Again they said any minute. I went in Wednesday and again nothing had changed. At this point they figured that I might not ovulate on my own. I was given an HCG shot (10,000mg) to help force my body to ovulate. When I went back in Friday one of the follicles had collapsed which they said indicated ovulation. Due to the HCG shot I had to wait longer to test as a bfp would likely be the result of the leftover HCG from the shot. When it was all clear I had a real bfp and was ecstatic!! Unfortunately I had a miscarriage and lost the baby which has been very hard (but not related to the fertility treatments....it was just one of those unfortunate things that can happen to anyone). The fact that we figured out a way to get a bfp is still a very positive thing. I have to try and focus on that.

I hope that clomid works for all of you!! Have any of you been given the option of follicle tracking. I would highly recommend it if it is available. Without the tracking we wouldn't have seen that I wasn't ovulating on my own and I wouldn't have been given the HCG shot. Without the shot I don't think it would have worked. I am hoping that it will work for me again. I just got my first af after my m/c and was anxious to try again. Unfortunately I can't get the tracking this month due to Christmas holidays but I will try the clomid without it and see what happens. I will take the first clomid pill tomorrow. If it doesn't work I will try it with the tracking again next month. I hope we all get our bfp's!!

Thanks for the info. Interesting story. Very sorry about your loss and i hope u are successful again soon. We want bfps all round!!! Xxx

Hi everyone,

Bets of luck with the clomid! I hope everyone gets BFP. I was so excited to be part of this group (Having clomid) and I repeat so many times out of excitement that I will be starting clomid next month (Well actually end of December/beginning of Jan). This will be the first time I will be taking these tablets.

Sadly Im not going to be now.. When I went for my HyCosy I assumed, in fact I was so sure that everything was going to be fine. Even the GYN said eveything should be fine because that what the HSG results where however they just had to double check something to do with the womb. I thought no big deal! ......

The little did I realise. The examination took like 20/25 mins, there was complications. I have a 2cm fibroid near the womb wall (Something like that) and surgery is required to remove it. I couldnt help but cry. So yeah thats my story. No clomid for me the doctor said, they have to sort the fibroid out first. Iv got loong way to go. My treatment length just increases. Having a baby is so far from me.

Sorry I just felt like telling you my feeling, Its just nice sometimes to take it out of the chest, I wish you all the best with clomid, do keep updating how it goes. I do enjoy reading all your comments. Take care. xxxxxx

I am sorry to hear that YearningHeart!! But I guess it is good that they found that before you went any further. It would have been heartbreaking to get a bfp with clomid only to have something go wrong because the fibroid was in the way. Or to think that clomid wasnt working because the egg was unable to implant!! Getting this dealt with now means you are doing everything you can to increase your chances of success down the road!!

So sorry to hear this. At least knowing what may be the issue, maybe after treatment that will be all you need!

I'm pretty sure that I didn't ovulate this cycle, despite the Clomid. My temps don't show it, and I never got a pos OPK. Its so frustrating. I ovulated before taking the Clomid, and this was just supposed to intensify it. Maybe this cycle was just destined to be an Anovulatory cycle. We will see. AF hasn't shown yet, due next week. I can only hope that me being sick messed with my temps and I'm wrong. I had Bronchitis 3 weeks ago, and now Walking Pneumonia. Oh I'm having a blast....NOT! Good Luck To EVERYONE!!!!!!!!!!!! Fingers crossed you all get your BFP, and fingers crossed my sickness caused my temps to be wrong!

So I have been having really sore/tender nipples.
I worked today and decided I couldn't stand it any longer and I was going to test tonight when I got off work.

So held it from about 3-730pm.
I can't believe it. Im pregnant.
Today was cycle day 24 and 9dpo.
